Overall I am very satisfied with our living experiences at the Wanamaker
The building is really conveniently located, not too far of a walk from campus and still very close to everything in center city. The doorman staff are friendly and are there 24/7. Our unit is owned by the building management company, and they are very timely and responsive with any maintenance requests. The living room is pretty spacious and has great views. Kitchen appliances are somewhat outdated, depending upon the unit, but still work very well. There are also a ton of other Wharton and Penn students in the building, so its not hard to share cabs.

Great place to live
Great location, great doorman, great amenities. Only downside is its pricey, although it is comparable amenities-wise to buildings directly on rittenhouse square while being significantly cheaper per square foot.

Great location, view and maintenance.
Excellent location - Closer to the campus than most other buildings. Very helpful doormen and management office. Infrastructure is well maintained. Includes gym membership.

Perfect location, very well-managed building with decent gym and nice rooftop pool. Lot's of Wharton kids live here.
Building is in a fantastic location. The front door staff are very professional and take very good care of the building. There is a decent gym as well as nice swimming pool on the rooftop. The units are tad bit on the old side but other than that, absolutely no complaints. Really nice that 50+ Wharton students live in the building.

The Wanamaker is a perfect combination of great location, amenities, apartment style and price.
The Wanamaker has been great. It is a condo building so the apartments are inconsistent. Mine is not newly renovated but even with the carpet and old appliances it is very nice. The building has a full gym and pool with 24 hour doorman. Great views with floor to ceiling windows in each room. The elevators are a little slow. From a location standpoint, it is great to still be in the Rittenhouse Square area and be walkable to class. The walk is about 25 minutes. Being right across from Irish Pub is convenient but it is a little bit of a walk to the rest of the bars/restaurants in the area.

Wanamaker - Great building, Wonderful Doormen - Highly Recommend!
Wanamaker House is very conveniently located for a quick trip to campus. It's less than 30 min. walk and less than 15 min. bus ride. Bus stop is steps away. Doormen here are awesome! They are always so friendly and helpful. In addition, there's a great little gym on the top floor with wifi access as well as a rooftop pool open during summer hours. My studio is not modern whatsoever, but it's a great size with lots of closet space. Overall, it's been absolutely easy living in the Wanamaker!

Excellent building, slightly pricey
Really a very good building. Lots of Wharton students live here. Slightly pricey but I think it's worth it for the location, the niceness of the building, having a 24/7 doorman, etc. One of the few buildings I found where you can get a studio with a great view. At the time of writing (11/2913) the building has some hot water issues in the mornings when everyone is showering at the same time, but management claims they are fixing it by adding more boilers -- make sure to ask about it before signing your lease.

Rittenhouse Square Reviews
Spruce Street in particular is great - it's a little south of the square, so is quieter/shielded from a lot of the traffic that the neighborhood gets, but it's not out of the way or far away. There's a Starbucks, a grocery store (Rittenhouse Market), and a few corner stores (Four Seasons and Food & Friends) within a 2-3 minute walk of my apartment.
