Solid place for solo living

The apartment is a pretty basic place, but for it being a 1-bedroom that allows pets, it was the best I could find in the price range and I haven't had any significant issues that would lead me against recommending it. It's about a mile walk to the law school, which is just the right distance for me to get steps in, or I take my bike.

Recommended for Students

UQ primarily houses students. So, for what it is, it's pretty good. Most units are...basic at best. The management is really quick about dealing with concerns, which is great. Location is incredible if you're a UT student. EXPENSIVE if you have pets!

My favorite neighborhood in Austin. Quiet, safe, central. Very walkable, quirky, very convenient. I walk to the local grocery coop (more expensive than big grocery store), coffee shops, local eateries.
Great walking space, neighbors are friendly. You see a lot of people out and about walking during the day and the scenery is pretty- many trees. Close by convenience store (Speedway market) is well-stocked, and local taco place Vaquero Taquero and a nearby coffee truck (2 minute walk from the apartment) are really convenient.
Close to campus and quiet. Feels quite safe, but is a bit dark at night.
Feels safe, lots of local businesses. I live within 100 feet of a convenience store, taco place, and coffee shop. Very expensive homes just one block away.
Really quiet and peaceful, safe neighborhood. Lots of dog walkers and students and single family homes.
Excellent location with everything you need nearby and very walkable to law school
I've had packages stolen but generally, the area feels safe! About half students and half other residents. Plus some great walkable restaurants
Hyde Park is great, safe, and close to campus.
