Amazing management, highly recommend

The Edgewater apartments is a great facility. The downstairs fenced in courtyard area is really nice if you have pets and just want to grill some food. The management is amazing, whenever there was an issue they would show up in no time and spare no expense or pain to fix the problem as quickly as possible. The place itself was re-finished before we moved in so it felt new. The kitchen area was large and great to cook in. Highly recommend. Only problem is if your apartment faces the river a train goes by many times day and night and shakes the room and is really loud.

Great Building

Loved the place - it was honestly a great experience. Great amenities, coffee at all times, cookies during the day, great yard for dogs and for picnics. The parking was easy but a little pricy but great price for guests, less than $10 for the day. It was overall a great building.

Edgewater Apartments

Edgewater is off the beaten path, which is good and bad. You have your own little place where few students live and so you can"'get away from Wharton." At the same time, it is a little more challenging to be involved with the very active social scene-again this can be good or bad.

For a family trying to live in Philadelphia, I can't think of many better places, in fact, I can't think of any.

Edgewater

This is out of the Wharton bubble, but close enough to school and Rittenhouse area. It's right on the river trail, so has beautiful views. The management is amazing! We are a family, so it's great for the kids who love running around in the huge garden downstairs.

Once in a lifetime

It's great to live in a building like this once in a lifetime. It has the perks of being close to the city with parking attached and a great patio. It does not have amazing amenties though such as a pool or any other recreational activities. A bit expensive for not in CC but very well kept and clean building.

Location is everything

Excellent residential neighborhood close to everything in the city. Right on the Schuylkill Trail, walking distance to Fairmount, Rittenhouse, Art Museums. 10 minute bike ride to work, 30 minute walk, 10 minute trolley ride. Management and staff are great and respond quickly to any issues.

Great for families

Having a private courtyard with BBQ grills, grass and plenty of trees and bushes to explore has been great for my kids. Located just outside the "Rittenhouse bubble," but still convenient to both Center City and the highway. Convenient parking, clean new building, with nice big windows looking out over the river.

Great place for families

We've loved living here with our three kids. Walls are thick so we haven't had to worry about our kids being loud. We love living right on the river, close to museums, and with easy access to both Center City and the school.

The Edgewater: Excellent location, awesome amenities, perfect for grad and professional students.

The Edgewater is a little expensive, but is right on the river path, right next to 30th St. Station, and close to trolley lines to Center City. Perfect for Graduate students. They also allow dogs (bigger ones) on some of the lower floors. They also only allow graduate and professional students so it's very quiet. There is an in facility gym, and rooms that can be rented for parties and whatnot. It's also right south of the art museum district and like I mentioned right on the river path, so south about a mile and a half is Penn and to the north a nice smooth run/ride path as far as you want to go. Worth the little extra.

Loved the neighborhood. Paying for monthly parking in a nearby garage was not outrageously expensive, was close to center city for fun and errand-running, Target and Whole Foods nearby made for easy groceries when I didn’t want to leave the city. Sabrina’s Cafe is nearby, which is super delicious. BSL was about an 8 minute walk to either Spring Garden or Race-Vine, depending on if I was going north or south. Great area for walking around and getting out of your apartment.
The apartment is technically between Logan Square and Rittenhouse Square. We live right above Trader Joe's, which makes grocery shopping a breeze. We spend a lot of time walking around Rittenhouse Square and Rittenhouse neighborhood to pick up groceries, drink coffee, and generally hang out with each other and friends. The river walk is a short walk away, and the Museum District is within walking distance. Back when I was going to school regularly, the Septa trolley stop is conveniently right in front of our apartment and the 30th Street Station is a 10 minute walk away. While the amenities leave some things to be desired and we pay a premium for our location, it is a great place to live especially for newcomers to Philadelphia who want to be next to all the action.
Unless you mind the noise of cars in the street below, you will not have any issues. Given that is center city there are many people experiencing homelessness so if that is a deal breaker I recommend other neighborhoods. The upside is being 5-10 minutes distance from all the fun, restaurants, activities, nightlife, etc.. that you will ever need.
Super close to Whole Foods and Trader Joes, and I love the walk along the parkway. It's close to various museums which is great! Overall the neighborhood is pretty residential, but there are coffee shops and to-go restaurants that are easy to access.
The neighborhood is a little more commercial but only a minute away from everything wonderful in rittenhouse. But it feels very safe at all times because it’s on a major street.
It is a great location. The law school is a 15 minute walk. Most of Center City is also within a 20 minute radius. A lot of other law students live nearby.
Lots of great bars and restaurants in the area. One of the safest and nicest areas in Philly. There are generally lots of people walking around.
Close to tons of great places to eat/drink, shop, etc. Walking distance to anything in Center City/Callowhill/Art Museum areas.
