Not "luxury living"

Let me start off by saying the people that work in the office are wonderful and tried so hard to help me and I'm sure countless others but are held back by the corporate office. Shout-out to Kristine and Stephanie for everything they did. And a Huge shout-out to Dalton whom despite knowing what was wrong with our unit on numerous occasions, was told he was wrong by a lead who has no idea how to do anything other than paint over problems. You deserve better from your peers.

I strongly advise against considering The Bexley at Brier Creek as your future home. During our two-year residency in apartment 102 at 10310 Crestgate Terrace, we faced numerous unresolved issues that severely impacted our quality of life.

Black Mold Infestation: Our kitchen was plagued with black mold due to persistent water intrusion. The management's "solution" was to cover the rotting wood with another layer and paint over it, a superficial fix that failed to address the underlying problem.

Chronic Flooding: Every time it rained, our kitchen flooded as water seeped through the baseboards. Despite repeatedly informing the leasing office, they misattributed it to a drainage issue and never implemented a proper fix. Eventually, they stopped responding to our communications altogether.

Pest-Infested Sprinklers: We discovered bugs in our sprinklers and reported this during every inspection. However, the issue was consistently ignored, leaving us to deal with the infestation.

Leaking Ceilings: The living room ceiling leaked due to malfunctioning water heaters in the apartment above us. This problem was widespread, with multiple units experiencing similar issues.

Outdated Appliances: The so-called "luxury" appliances were outdated, likely from the early 2000s, contradicting the complex's marketing as a luxury living space.

Deceptive Lighting Practices: Our apartment lacked built-in lighting in the bedrooms and living room, forcing us to install our own. The model units, however, were equipped with lighting, which we found to be misleading.

Attached are photos documenting these issues over our two-year stay. If you're considering moving into this complex, especially apartment 102 at 10310 Crestgate Terrace, conduct a thorough inspection. Be aware that many problems may be superficially masked with paint. The review system will only let me upload so many photos however I have tons.

Our experience aligns with other tenants in Raleigh who have faced similar neglect from property management regarding mold and maintenance issues. This is not a safe place to live.

Maintenance Issues

These apartments are a bit older at 22 years. They are a long commute from school but surrounded by shopping centers and grocery stores which makes it a nice environment to live in. However, my apartment has had a plethora of maintenance issues from the day I moved in. There are constant pest issues, my washer didn't work for over a month, my dishwasher leaks, and my kitchen cabinets nearly fell off the wall. Maintenance will come half fix issues and then never return to finish the job. The only nice thing is they have apartments with fenced yards so it's great if you have a dog.

ROACHES TERMINATES MOLD DISGUTING WORST PLACE EVER LIVED

SAVE YOURSELF THE TROUBLE THIS PLACE IS TRASH THEY COVER MOLD WITH PAINT DONT TELL YOU THEY TAKES WEEKS TO TAKE CARE OF ROACH OR TERMIATE PROBLEMS THEY HAVE ALL OUTDATED APPLICANCES. THIS WAS THE WORST MOST DISGUSTING PLACE WE HAVE EVER LIVED
All out problems with Bexley during our lease include the following:
- Dishwasher was not installed when we moved in
- Garbage disposal was not functioning when we moved in
- Exhaust pipe on the clothes dryer was completely detached from the exhaust port when we moved in, which caused additional mold issues in our apartment
- The glass sliding door to our shower in the master bathroom was entirely off the track and the handle was broken off when we moved in
- Termite infestation (2 different occasions of hundreds of termites swarming inside our apartment; see attached)
- Bathroom sink leaked during our vacation and damaged our personal items under the sink (Bexley just painted over the water-damaged cabinets)
- Clothes washer burst and leaked over our floor for over an hour before Bexley finally sent someone (water leaked through the closet to adjoining rooms)
- I found fries stuck in the floorboards in my daughter's bedroom next to her closet when I was cleaning her room
- Kitchen sink leak

Brier Creek - great if your significant other needs to find work!

Brier Creek is a suburb located about 5 minutes away from RDU airport. It is central to Raleigh, Durham, Cary, and Chapel Hill with each city being about 20-30 minute commute. I lived in this area prior to attending Kenan-Flagler and decided to not move since my fiancee works in the opposite direction.

My morning commute to school is a very consistent 25 minutes. The afternoon commute is worse during rush hour, but outside of 4pm - 6pm is also reasonable.

If your significant other is joining you in the Triangle and does not have worked lined up, living in Brier Creek gives you great flexibility because they can open their job search to ANY city in the area.

Getting around Northwest Raleigh

Northwest Raleigh Reviews

So far so good! Quiet! lots of medical buildings around so quiet at night!
A little boring, but very nice/safe. Very family and pet friendly.
My apartment is two minutes from Crabtree valley mall, five minutes from north hills, and ten minutes from downtown. Everything is within short driving distance!
Neighborhood is very safe.
