I have been fortunate to live at The Left Bank during my first year. It is only two blocks away from school and when you spend most of your day there it is nice to know that you don't have a long commute home. The building is very safe and the staff friendly. There are restaurants adjacent to the building which is always a nice option. A lot of other law students live in the building so you can meet people walking to and from school. Downsides are that it is a bit pricey compared to some of the apartments in Center City, the gym is small and slightly outdated equipment but it is never crowded, and if you want to go out at night it is a bit out of the way to get downtown CC so you will most likely have to uber everywhere. Other than that, I love where I live.

The layout of the unit is great (feels huge) and the safety and location are excellent, but the management doesn't always deal with problems in the most efficient way. Maintenence comes immediately (24/7) to do an initial fix to problems, but management isn't so good at implementing permanent solutions. (For example, if the apartment floods, we get blowers very quickly, but management has been slow to fix the leaks - which they know how to do.)

I've really liked living at the Left Bank. The location is great and is very convenient for Lebow Business School. The building has a lot of students, and the surrounding area feels pretty safe. Unfortunately, you pay a significant premium to live at The Left Bank. In general, I'd highly recommend The Left Bank if you can afford it.

I like The Left Bank. It only takes me 5 min to get to Lebow Business School, 12 min to the library and the school's shuttle buses. There is no nearby grocery, but there is a CVS in the area. You can also take a bus to the Fresh Grocer on 40th and Walnut St. The rent is quite expensive, but if you can find a roommate or two its not too bad. This building feels very safe. There is a guard at the front desk who also helps with mail deliveries. There is also an intercom access system for additional safety.

Very well located for law school-- about 6 minute walk from the law school, so close but not too close. Very spacious pretty apartments with high ceilings. Good gym. Get more for your money than you would in center city. Safe neighborhood, I always felt safe walking back at night (as a woman). Nice to have concierge that accepts packages. Trains flank two sides of the building which are noisy but only for about 10 seconds as the train is going by. There was some trouble with the fire alarm (went off at 3 in the morning two nights in a row) and there were a couple of false alarms since then, but the management has been looking into the problem. hopefully that won't happen in the future. It's also nice that a bunch of other law students live in the building. I particularly like the roof top deck, its beautiful up there when teh weather is nice. Overall I liked it and would recommend it

Beautiful building, we love our apartment. Definitely a bit pricier, but it is a huge space for an apartment in this area. Super close to 30th station.

On the expensive side, but a great building--close enough to school, but also not too far from Center City.

Left Bank is a wonderful building. The apartments are bright, have high ceilings, and feel very spacious. The apartments are well cared for, the heat AC actually work, and the gym is fairly well-equipped. Also, the building staff (especially the front desk staff) are some of the nicest, most friendly people in the world. Seriously, I would live here just to be able to talk to them every morning on my way out the door. The building definitely caters to graduate students and young professionals, but it also has a fair number of children and older residents who work nearby. Definitely feels like the real world, unlike parts of U. City.

The Left Bank is a wonderful building - safe and clean with a 24 hour doorman.
