The Emerson area is a safe, friendly, and diversified community full of about 2100 people in about 1000 houses and apartment units, located about 3 ½ miles northeast of downtown Madison. The walkable tree lined streets, expansive parks, and a selection of local restaurants, are just a few amenities to offer. Hop outdoors at Demetral Field where there are paved walking paths, playgrounds, sand volleyball courts, and a baseball field. East High Athletic Field and tennis courts. Attached is a half-acre enclosed dog park. To start your day, head to Ogden’s North Street Diner. Further south down North Street, stop in at Dexter’s Pub to enjoy a refreshing craft beer while enjoying pub food. In warmer months, take a dip in lakes Monona and Mendota where there are neighborhood beaches and other swimming options. Emerson East is accompanied by two elementary schools, two middle schools, and two high schools.
