Seward

Small Town Surrounded by the Big City
One of Minneapolis’s oldest neighborhoods is Seward, a small town surrounded by the big city and the Mississippi River. Seward is a trendy and laid back neighborhood that is filled with art, drinks, food, and activities. The place is popular among young professionals who want to have an easy commute into the city for work. Many locals like to bike or walk from Downtown. There is also always an easily accessible public transportation system. United Noodles is a popular Asian grocery store that many of the residents like to visit for some grocery shopping.

Seward offers many eateries scattered throughout the neighborhood. Food and drinks are easily accessible thanks to all of the restaurants and bars. Restaurants with high recommendations from the locals include Cafe Racer Kitchen, Birch wood Cafe, Himalayan Restaurant, Pizza Luce, Town Talk Diner & Gastropub, and Gandhi Mahal Restaurant. Bars include Merlins Rest Pub, Peppers and Fries, Chatterbox Pub, and Matt’s Bar and Grill. Seward is great for any working professionals that want an easy commute into the city while having some space away from it.
