Streeterville — 8.5/10 Rating (based on 146 neighborhood reviews)
Perfect location for Feinberg, almost feels like a small slice of a college town because so many of your neighbors will be students, residents, nurses, etc at the hospital. You do get sirens fairly often depending on where you live since the emergency room is very close. The neighborhood doesn't have too many restaurants/bars but it is walking distance to River North and Gold Coast and the rest of the city is easily accessed by public transport. Much safer than most neighborhoods in Chicago.

Streeterville is a very nice neighborhood. There are plenty of parks and grocery stores. There is some late night crime due to the location downtown and close to the beach, but overall nothing worse than anywhere else.

There are some more expensive restaurants and fast food places. Navy Pier attracts a lot of tourists and they can be annoying to navigate around.

The Streeterville area was still pretty sleepy when I moved here three years ago. Since then, there has been an incredible amount of development. New luxury apartments and condos are going up, several new restaurants, a brand new target and Whole Foods. There are a few buses that are near by that help get residents down to the loop. Also it's pretty easy to walk around and the cross walks are pedestrian friendly. I'm always able to get around by foot and buses/trains. Streeterville is a very safe neighborhood and I've never felt unsafe walking around at night. The streets are well lit.
Noise is not usually too big of an issue in this neighborhood; it's pretty quiet at night.
There are multiple grocery stores nearby for multiple choices. Also there are a bunch of great places to eat so one will not get bored with options.

Streeterville is a nice place to live, I think the main positive is that it is close to campus and therefore close to many other students (ie. easier to see friends and get to class). McClurg Court Center
Not a lot to do in the neighborhood, which is mostly banks, nail salons, cafes, and Northwestern Memorial hospital, but it is nice and close to the lake, secure and quiet, and there are bars and restaurants if you're willing to walk 20-30 min.

Streeterville is located in downtown Chicago. Although it is conveniently located to Northwestern and Michigan Avenue, the general vibe is still very touristy and the restaurant scene isn't the most diverse or unique.

Largely focused around NMH, some good options for dining and happy hours. Has local grocery stores and other necessities, relatively close to CTA for access to other areas of Chicago.

A new neighborhood close to what I need (day care and law school) but not really charming. Not a lot of great options to eat or drink (beside a few of them).

It is a little too busy for my liking. It is a very tourist spot for the city so frequently on weekends there are tons of tourists seeing Navy Pier.

Gold Coast City Apartments
Very convenient for school and for social/friend aspects. Amazing living so close to the lakefront trail, beaches, and Michigan Ave. This neighborhood has more chain restaurants, etc. than many other parts of the city, so less personality. It is an expensive neighborhood to live in. Most people do not own a car and don’t need one based on this location. Usually feel relatively safe for a city apartment, but you do hear about carjackings, muggings, etc.

Close to campus, not a lot of green space and besides Whole Foods, Trader Joe’s, and a jewel marketplace not the best grocery store selection, I wish I lived near an Aldi. The proximity to campus can’t be beat though and it’s nice to be so close to the pier/have so many classmates near me
