B9 Studio

Amazing layout, great maintenance, got a month off on signing a year’s lease. Apartment is fancy (layout, Nest etc.) but old flooring, limited storage, minimal sunlight and dim lighting.

Good

- Overall it's a nice modern apartment.
-Wall is a bit thin so you can hear whoever is above you when they are walking.
- Cheap material throughout so do expect some broken things here and there.
- mgmt team is pretty quick on responding maintenance request which is a plus.

Ok.

It is an expensive space, and could be better in many ways. Heating equipment is so so, management is not much tolerant of anything and spaces could be betTer cared of. We had security issues with packages, bikes and a moped being stolen. I would not recommend this place, unless you get a good deal

810 was ok

Apartment is really nice, maintenance is responsive, management leaves a lot to be desired. My car got broken into the garage and I got no support.

Generally great

I love living at B9 since it's so close to Harris Teeter and other Fuqua students. The gym is good enough (and convenient) and I love the community that exists in the building. My only complaint is that they make you pay for garbage pick-up and in warm weather, we get roaches :(

Berkshire Ninth Street

Very good facilities and generally attentive staff. However, maintenance issues take a while to resolve.

Lots of space and sun

My apartment has gotten great sunlight and has a lot of space available. I've had issues with packages being stolen in the building which is very troubling, but the only bad part of the building.

Quiet space but expensive

B9 is a better but expensive alternative to station nine. While the apartments look nicer, the management is not very competent. if you are someone who doesn’t have a car and wants to live in the middle of the action, this is a good choice, but it can be more expensive than other alternatives.

Not too bad - but pricy & spotty management

Overall - decent facilities and design. Convenient location. No glaring issues. However, the cost is pretty steep for what you get. And pet fees are high. The office and management are frequently unavailable or unable to resolve critical community issues, such as trash overflow and package deliveries. But we renewed our lease without hesitation.

Overall very good, room for improvement

The overall complex is great with many good amenities. The management team is very responsive, though deals with high turnover and therefore inconsistent communications. We love our apartment, its location, and the quality of life that we have here. My partner and I enjoy our stay here, but there is certainly opportunity for growth.

Room for improvement: Better package delivery system, Ensure better security for gates (there have been some thefts lately), Install functional cameras for internal community, Install cameras for parking garage, AWFUL Central Office staff.

Overall, is it worth the cost? Not really. They have enough demand from graduate students that the company inflates prices, but does not keep up with amenities and staff are overworked.
