Good location for study-body but walls are thin–hope for good neighbors

The location is great for someone who wants to be near school. The 39 bus is nearby that takes your right to the school's front-door. The lighting in the area is really great as well. There are big windows that allow a lot of natural lighting. As well as a protected stream that runs through the middle of the apartments, which prevents overcrowding.

The location also has a few bars in walking distance and restaurants that are quite delicious. A lot of organic, vegan, or vegetarian options-or a great fried chicken place for those who like fried food and/or meat. A co-op is nearby if you enjoy quality food and a friendly atmosphere when shopping. Also two bakeries, an ice cream shop, and movie rental place. Great if you are in a relationship and need to balance your relationship with your significant other with school.

The down side is the walls are paper thin. I had to deal with a neighbor, who has never played guitar before, trying for his musical therapy degree. It literally did the opposite. My partner is also in law school and she was able to put in headphones. I am not so lucky as to be able to study in those situations.

If you come here, it's a great location and place. Just pray for good neighbors.

Quiet and close to campus

Shadow Hills is pretty close to campus, not walking distance close, but a very quick drive. It's in the Hillsdale neighborhood and is close to Multnomah Village, so there's a decent amount of stuff within walking distance. There's a bus to downtown that can get you there pretty quick. There's a pool and small gym. Management is pretty quick to respond to maintenance requests. It recently became non-smoking, a plus for some and a minus for others I'm sure. All in all, it's a pretty good place to live, it's a bit pricey but you don't have to cross a bridge to get to school, which is a bonus for me.
