I've been in the Carriage House for three years and have thoroughly enjoyed my time. I feel safe and the staff is great. There is a rodent and pest issue throughout the building which I still am trying to get solved but overall pretty good!

Great location

I love our place at Carriage House for the location and our particular unit. The building his few frills, but it's close to the blue-orange-silver line and all the fun of DuPont while being in a quieter neighborhood. The building itself is a little dated, but we save a lot by not paying for in-unit laundry or a gym which is worth it.

Spacious, up to date, clean, safe (doorman), 5 minute walk from the hospital.

10 minute walk to the Law School. Surrounded by cafes and restaurants. Relatively quiet for the downtown area.

Good location and spacious apartment but it's in the basement so I don't have enough sunlight and there are some cockroaches.

Good building, new manager who I have not gotten to know yet. There are some mice in the building, which show up a couple times a year but there is a good exterminator. Very good lobby area. Pool in the summer but hours are limited. Minimal communal space available. Noise better since fire station moved.

The Carriage House is an unbeatable location just north of the Foggy Bottom Metro stop. The units are individually owned condos, so they can vary in how new the interiors are (my unit is NOT renovated). I would not recommend this building for anyone looking to live in a large, new apartment. We have had a few mice in our apartment, so if that is a deal breaker I suggest you stay away. The rent is incredible for the location and if your priority is living in a highly walkable DC neighborhood this is one of the best places you will find.

The location is great. The building has a mouse problem that is minimized by management. They are difficult to deal with when it comes to addressing the mouse problem. The desk staff are generally helpful. The building is old but had been face-lifted.
