Good for 1L
Definitely not inexpensive but inexpensive/good value if coming from NYC. New managment sucks but amenities are great, 15 min walk to school, kind doormen who look after you/know your name, very good gym, large rooms w natural light

Overall amazing with 1-2 caveats
2116 is a great place to live, at least for your first year at Wharton. It's relatively close to campus (~25 min walk or 15 min via public transportation). It also has great amenities, including a gym, a business center (great for studying / group projects), an indoor common area, and an outdoor terrace. There are a ton of Wharton students in the building, which makes it very social and a great place to meet people. The only 2 issues with the building are the elevators (which can often be down, and the whole building will be left with 1 elevator, leading to long wait times) and their use of Fetch for packages. Fetch can be great because they deliver to your doorstep, but some people have had issues with packages getting stolen from their facility when they are delivered before 9am.

Value add is being near Wharton students/campus
value add is location and being near other wharton students. management is awful and we had packages stolen by teenagers who broke in despite us having a "24/7" concierge/door man. elevator broken for 4 weeks, maintenance takes a while to come up. i enjoy living here because it is a great location re: proximity to bars / campus and so many wharton students are my neighbors. however, the corner is pretty sketchy - the homeless people are quite aggressive, so you need to be careful even in the daytime,

Good but not great
Great location and most popular Wharton building which makes it feel that you’re really at the heart of the action.
Modern building with amenities (e.g., gym, business center, BBQ area).
Apartments generally get lots of natural light which makes the stay really pleasant.
Biggest downsides include quality of management and elevator maintenance issues (often have to wait 20+ minutes when 2/3 are down).

Management is awful
The building itself is nice, but the management is horrible. Only 1 elevator works (for a 35 story building), so it can take 15+ minutes to get upstairs. You also have to pay a $20 monthly fee for a package delivery service, which delays and loses packages frequently. Management is unresponsive - had to call them 16 times before receiving a copy of our signed lease.

Great social Wharton building!
Convenient for lots of Wharton events, smaller apartment, great staff and doormen, not such good management

Social but struggling with safety and clarity in payment
While 2116 has been a central spot for Wharton students and has great views, recent safety incidents (including teens coming into the building and stealing packages) + lack of transparency in payment (e.g., oddly high utility bills) creates a disappointing / concerning experience

Great but expensive place to live
My experience here so far has been great. Wouldn’t be able to afford it with my salary alone, but I love how much space I have, the proximity to the hospital, and the parking garage on site.

Modern apartment w gym and study rooms
Overall, very happy with the experience. If you're looking for a clean, modern apartment semi-close to school and Rittenhouse Square, this is the place. The gym has all of the items I need (weights, treadmill, bikes). There's a dunkin, CVS and local coffee shop nearby. A few restaurants as well... The river is close for morning runs. Apartment itself: oversized kitchen but has a ton of storage, washer/dryer in unit, clean bathroom, good lighting in kitchen/bathroom (need more in living area), floor to ceiling window, central AC/heat.

Great Option of Wharton Students
Great building. Many, many Wharton students, which creates a fun environment. One of the closer apartment options to campus; walk is 20-25 minutes. Management and staff are highly responsive, and the building is well-maintained. Only complaint is that the elevators break often. Dog run is really helpful for pet-owners.

Fitler Square Reviews
That being said I did notice that most students lived on the side of the school!
There are residents without housing in the neighborhood. They're good people and new residents should be respectful of them and their belongings.
Cons: Trader Joe's is the only real grocery store here and may have limited selection for those looking for a supermarket; not as quiet or "neighborhood-y" as other areas, as it is in the heart of downtown; there is a freight train that runs along the river that can be loud, though I got used to it quickly
