Location, location, location!

Having lived at VST for three years, I have had a great experience. I believe it is the closest rental building to campus which means “commuting” to school takes a couple minutes of walking.

My apartment faces north so I have an unobstructed view of Arlington/DC and it has a nice balcony to relax on. The building has a full gym that is open 24/7, printers and computers in the business center, a lounge and game room including a virtual golf machine and a plethora of table top games.

There is also an outdoor pool with adjacent grilling stations to have the perfect summer day.

Also of note is the buildings proximity to the metro ~10 minutes to get to the White House — which becomes very helpful if you plan on interning or externing in DC.

Expensive but great amenities

I enjoy living at VST. Obviously being a 1 minute walk across the street to the law school is the best part. It makes it easy to go to and from on lunch and not require transportation. Management can be a little difficult at times and they definitely charge more than most buildings in this area. Most of the building are young professionals and a ton of classmates.

Convenient and clean but a little pricey

I loved my experience at Virginia Square Towers. It is so convenient for where I needed to be. The amenities and area are super nice. The maintenance staff was always quick to fix issues. I also loved that a lot of friends lived in the building as well. Highly recommend this apartment.

Convenient but expensive

The amenities are nice, but for the price, it’s not very reasonable. The price for a studio is on par with D.C. studio apartments, but in Arlington, there are cheaper alternatives with larger floor plans available.

Great place, great management, pricey

Love the building, great people, great amenities (24 hour gym, conference room, business center with free printing, pool, lounge, etc), great location across from the school. It’s not cheap, but you could probably negotiate a discount off the posted rate because like 30% of units are vacant.

Clarendon Reviews

Very safe and quiet. There are some good restaurants close by and it’s a quick walk to Clarendon for more dining options.
Safe, clean, and plenty to do. DC proper is very accessible.
LOVE LOVE LOVE my neighborhood. I'm between dupont and u street, so it's not in the middle of it all, which I appreciate. I'm literally 2 blocks from 14th street where all the great restaurants/bars are. I'm also 5-7 mins walking distance to multiple grocery stores (Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, Safeway). It's quiet enough to feel like I'm not in a city, but i'm steps away from being reminded that I am.
Courthouse (located right between Rosslyn and Clarendon), is a very convenient area, with lots of shopping, grocery stores, convenience stores, and restaurants. The metro station is in the center of the neighborhood and leads right to downtown DC, and the area feels very safe, including at night.
This is a very good neighborhood with an easy commute to McLean. It's a very walkable area with Trader Joes and Whole Foods nearby and many other shops, restaurants and bars. There is also a dog park as well as a park (Rocky Run) that has basketball courts and a turf field.
A nice place with plenty of night life, restaurants, and things to do. Pretty safe and upscale. A little cheaper than living in Foggy Bottom but were it not for my wife's work, I might opt to be closer to GW. The commute isnt bad though, 15 or 20 mins by metro.
Average neighborhood, food scene is unexceptional. If the law school wasn't right here I wouldn't be living here. Tons of crowds and people not taking masks / social distancing / pandemic in general serious and going to bars and clubs.
DC people are snooty about those living in Clarendon, but I love it! You get out of the city to a safe, walk-able area with high-end shops and restaurants steps from home. Metro and bus access is fantastic! I don't need a car!
