Good Value for Location

My experience at this apartment is very largely positive. It's only a 7-minute walk from the Courthouse metro, as well as the Courthouse plaza, a hub full of restaurants and shops. However, it is not off a main road and is part of a collection of complexes, making it very quiet despite it being city living and conveniently located.

The apartments are high quality for the price you pay compared to what I have experienced before. Large, spacious kitchen with granite countertops, the showers have good water pressure, only the bedrooms are carpeted (with short carpeting), lots of windows that allot for natural light, and control over the thermostat are some benefits.

My only complaints are that my building (3 floors) doesn't have an elevator and the walls can be a bit thin -- I hear my neighbors sometimes if there is dead silence in my own room. Also, I personally prefer a gas stove and the stoves here are electric.

I like living here

The complex is fairly nice because it has been newly renovated but there were a lot of frustrations with the leasing office and overall management such as rapidly changing parking policies resulting in cars getting towed and occasional negligence when submitting maintenance requests.

The apartment location is good and includes metro access but the units are small for the price.

Getting around Clarendon

Clarendon Reviews

This is a safe and exciting neighborhood to live in.
Clarendon is the most similar to D.C. as far as an Arlington neighborhood goes. There are tons of bars, restaurants, gyms/yoga studios, grocery stores. Walking around, you will see tons of young professionals/graduate students. It's really clean and quiet. It's on the silver/orange metro line so you can really get anywhere. It's super closer to major highways/the airport, so if you have a car, there is not a single place that's too far away.
Clarendon is a lovely neighborhood with so much to offer. Many young families and young professionals, but also many loud, young college/ post college partiers. Area can be loud at times. Many great restaurants , walking distance to anything you need. Expensive rent but close to metro/ busses
Lyon village is a great place to live because it it really close to Clarendon with all of the night life and restaurants, but you don't have to deal with all the people and noise. It is very safe - as a female I never feel insecure when walking around at night alone.
The neighborhood has a very busy nightlife. It has several bars and lounges in the area, as well as a great selection of late-night eateries. During the day time, the area is very peaceful. Great places for brunch, shopping, and groceries.
Clarendon is a great neighborhood with lots of young adults. There are some good restaurants and it is a quick metro ride into the city. It is a little quieter than living in the city, but you still get a little bit of a city feel.
So much to do, so many restaurants, so many bars, great shopping, many cafes, four grocery stores within walking distance! Lots to do, but also quiet and has nice suburban feel. Can't say enough great things!
This is the place to be if you are a young professional in the DC area. The prices are way more affordable than DC and you have so much more space! There is always something fun to do and new people to meet!
