Great location, but pricey
I LOVE living in this location. Hawthorne is a fun neighborhood and we are surrounded by a lot to do. The apartment itself is nice, I love how many big windows it has and lots of natural light. The apartment is pricey though, and does not include utilities or any building amenities. The managment company is ok... not the best but not the worst. The building is pet friendly which is nice.

Great Apartment in LEED Building
This LEED Gold building has over a dozen different floor plans ensuring you can get the type of space you want. Huge windows in all units, built in 2009, well maintained, clean common areas, a great find overall. On the corner of 20th and Hawthorne, it's right in the midst of activity on Hawthorne and extremely accessible by bus. Management is alright. Utilities not included and the cost per pet is high ($80 per pet per month + deposits for each pet) but they allow up to 2 animals including large dogs. Parking in the garage is an additional $100/month but I've never had trouble finding street parking within 2 blocks on 20th. If you're looking for more space they have live-work townhouses on the bottom and the 2nd floor has spacious patio's built out. They also have storage closets for rent in the building which are as low as $20/month and great if you're in a smaller unit.
