Honest and decent landlord, mediocre building
This building is from the 60s and hasn't had a lot of updates. There are numerous minor maintenance issues including roof leaks, plumbing backups, windows that don't seal well, poor insulation, and damaged hardwood floors. However, the landlady is very kind and responsive, maintenance takes care of things as they arise (though it's usually a patching situation rather than really addressing the problem long-term), and the rent is never raised. There is also off-street parking, storage in the basement, and coin laundry. She charges a pet deposit but no monthly pet rent.

Decent little building, well-managed
Close to Sellwood neighborhood, parking included, laundry on-site as well as a basement storage unit. Price is kind of high but the owner promises not to raise rent on long-term tenants. Main cons are that the floors are very thin and noise travels between upstairs/downstairs units, and there have been a lot of ceiling leaks. However, the owner is very proactive about dealing with these types of issues.
