Great Location and Amenities!

Have loved living in Carolina Square and you can't beat the location. Don't think I'd live here if I was looking for a studio or a 1 bedroom because of price, but if you have a roommate or 2, it's a great apartment to check out.

Great location!

Fantastic location.. honestly can’t beat the target underneath or short walk to Franklin st. Parking is expensive and sometimes hallways can be loud due to a large amount of undergrads but wouldn’t trade the location for anything.

Apartments are nice; building is not

The apartment is very nice. Spacious, tall ceilings, lots of windows, quality appliances and finishes (for an apartment). The amenity and common areas are another story, however. Those spaces are hardly ever cleaned or repaired when needed. This building is also being taken over by undergraduate students, whereas it used to be more graduate students and young professionals. Parking is very expensive at $175/month.

Great Value

Overall Carolina Square is a great location for someone that likes walking in town and being near bars/resturants. It is a traditional elevator apartment building with very nice amenities. There are some undergraduate students in the building which can be loud at times.

Great apartment/location

Carolina Square is in the heart of downtown Chapel Hill. A short walk to restaurants and bars and about a 20-30 minute walk to the business school. The apartments are very convenient, spacious, and have great amenities.

Great Location and Amenities

Carolina Square is in an amazing location and has solid amenities. This includes a gym, pool, business center, and roof deck. It's a little pricey and I probably wouldn't live there if I was in a 1 BR apartment, but because I'm able to split the cost between 3 people I've loved it. For business school students, 1 big perk that I hadn't considered is that it's great for company hosted happy hours because you can simply walk home afterwards. An additional perk that I find really convenient is that you don't need to go to any office to pick up your package and worry about when they're going to be open because they have a locker setup that is open any time.

Carolina Square

Couldn't be a better location. It's close to all of the restaurants and bars...no Ubers from Alta Blu or the Morgan. You can walk to Carrboro. Above the Target. There are other MBA students in here and you're a quick walk to the other apartment complexes where MBA students live downtown. Only problem is that there are undergrads in the building and they can be loud and disturbing from time to time.

Franklin Street Reviews

Living near Franklin Street is amazing! It allows you to walk to restaurants/bars and making it feel like a college town. If you like walking to things, this is the place to be!
All the bars and restaurants are right here, it's a close walk to campus, and also to Carborro.
Walking distance to all bars and restaurants, living on the west end also walkable to Carrboro

10 minute drive to school and grocery

Borders a rough neighborhood behind Rosemary Street so must always keep doors locked and never walk home alone.

Depending on where you live it can be noisy with undergrads - steer clear of The Warehouse Apartments and Chancellor Square that are next to Bobs on either side.
I've loved that I'm walking distance to everything on Franklin Street and that I've been able to engage with more of the greater UNC campus than my peers in the MBA program.
Walkable to most restaurants and bars. Not on Franklin St, so not as much noise but Rosemary St. can still be pretty busy.
Perfect if you want great access to bar/restaurants and to be around other students
Close to everything! Bus line, downtown restaurants and bars, grocery stores.
Best area of chapel hill with restaurants, bars, lots going on
