Decent for Price
Decent apartment for rent I am paying. However, the apartment building itself needs more maintenance. although there's no open trash or dirt, the apartment inside smells not so great. Since the building is old, it's prone to mice and roach infestation. They have pest control regularly but sometimes that isn't enough. No central AC. You have to bring your own window unit and on top of that, you have to pay for a summer AC fee of $200. My unit doesn't have a dishwasher or washing machine - probably many units in this apt don't that these amenities. I have a spacious apartment though, and given the price and neighborhood I live in, it's a rare combination. it is metro accessible between two stops - Cleveland Park and Woodley Park. The apartment is very close to Cleveland Park strip so last minute grocery shopping has always been easy (but expensive if you are going to do your weekly/monthly grocery shopping from those shops). Very safe neighborhood. Always easy to find hidden spots or pockets of parks to relax, run and read your book.
