Fine building, landlord varies

The units in this apartment are condos, so units are rented from individuals rather than the building. That means that your landlord experience can vary greatly.

There aren't many building-wide amenities, but the laundry room is functional and the bike room is useful.

Beware if you are sensitive to smoke--the building is not smoke-free and cigarette and week smoke can be smelled in some hallways.

Generally, we have few issues and appreciate the front desk service.

Great spot

It's a great building built in the 1920's. The building is quiet, and there is a large age range from young/professional adults to retirees. Everybody is friendly, and the front desk accepts packages wh/ is great. The location is good too. Adam's Morgan is a 5-minute walk, and Connecticut is right there as well. The only problem is that there is no parking wh/ means that if you are not home by 6:30pm you will spend a lot of time looking for parking. Also public transportation is a hike. That being said you can walk to anything you like, and the only problem is getting to school. Biking, driving, or walking (about 30min.) are your best options. Also the units are all condos, so you have to rent directly from an owner.

good for the area

The apartment is in a great area. That, however, comes at a cost-- which applies to the majority of residences inside the beltway (and especially in NW). The building is old so there are not many perks other than its location. Newer apartment buildings in our area, come at a much higher cost because of things like a gym, patio, etc. But all-in-all its great. I have lived in the district my entire life. wouldnt have it any other way.

It’s just between DuPont and admo so you get all the fun of DuPont but the neighborhood feel of admo. Definitely feels like a safe neighborhood and admo is really cool (and cheaper overall than DuPont).
Do you like bohemian districts? If yes, than you'll love AdMo. This place has everything: Drifters, stoners, angry ideologues preaching divine ruination, some guinely excellent cocktail bars and restaurants. Are illciti pandemic speakeasies or constant ambient marijuana smoke not your cup of tea? Then go live in Petworth, nerd.
Adams Morgan is a popular nightlife spot with a neighborhood feel. 18th St is crazy on weekends, but just a few steps away are quiet residential areas. It offers a wonderful location for those who like to explore their surroundings (including restaurants and bars offering fare from around the world, and the 1st class Meridian Hill Park), while offering a quick escape from the bustle of city life. This is not downtown, nor is it a suburb. The demographics are nicely varied, unlike some ritzier areas nearby. A very interesting and comfortable place to live.
Admo has a reputation for the weekend evening activities that occur but Adams Morgan is also a great neighborhood gem to spend time in. With so many food options and parks within walking distance, it's perfect for more than just going out on a Saturday night. You have the perfect balance of night life with being in a walkable neighborhood which is also close to several other happening neighborhoods.
Good bar and restaurant scene, even if it is a zoo on Friday and Saturday nights. Easy access to Rock Creek Park
Adams Morgan is incredible for bars and restaurants. There is always something happening in the neighborhood. On the weekends it overflows with people coming in for a fun night.
Fantastic restuarants, bars and decent amounts of open/green space. Mostly friendly neighbors and a relatively short walk to the Woodley park metro stop or Columbia Heights. High concentration of houseless persons on some streets can be disruptive.
Adams Morgan is fantastic. Its close to everything and has a ton of great things so you don't really have to leave.
