Harvard Hall review

I enjoy the apartment complex. It’s older style building so everything is not new stainless steel which I like. Walking distance from rock creek park, zoo, metro, all 10-15 mins as well as mount pleasant strip with places to go out and only 15-20 min walk to Adams Morgan. Building has been bought by new management company so like construction to occurs in next 1-2 years which means possibly hammering while your trying to sleep after a call. It’s pet friendly with small dog park at the entrance.

Great Deal

Amazing location - Columbia heights metro only 10 min walk and Dupont metro only 20 min walk. Neighborhood vibe but around the corner from grocery stores, Dupont and U-street night life.

Built in bookshelves and china cabinets make this place truly unique!

Harvard Hall

We have really enjoyed living here. Aside from some smaller issues where the building isn't as prompt to take care of things, we have really had a good stay. The reality is for the location, price and value this is a great option in DC NW. We do have issues every year post winter pre-spring time where we have mold.

The neighborhood is a great example of DC's diversity. Mt. Pleasant is a predominantly Latino community (primarily from El Salvador); however, as with most of DC, gentrification has started to take root. The neighborhood is generally safe for the city; however, it is always important to be cautious. Crime is primarily theft (breaking into car windows) and there has only ever been one serious incident that I've known about in my 3 years here. On the positive side, there are so many great restaurants for various types and it is easy to access the rest of the DMV area thanks to the bus and metro. If you enjoy walking, this neighborhood is great as well.
Close to bars and restaurants in Mt. Pleasant and Adams Morgan, and only a short walk to DC USA and other spots in Columbia Heights.
No complaints. I feel very safe and have had no issues. Can't beat the public transportation nearby or all the night life areas. If you are the type of person to feel "unsafe" simply because the area has higher rates of blacks and hispanics then don't move to Mt Pleasant.
Very walkable/easy transit. Nice mix of restaurants and shopping
Love the neighborhood, reasonably close to transit and easy walking to bars and nightlife while not being too close if that's not your thing
The neighborhood is definitely going to be one of the next big things in DC. Very convenient to the S bus-lines.
Mt. Pleasant is one of the best neighborhoods in DC. It is diverse, with a mix of old Hispanic families and newer, educated young professionals. Mt. P street itself has some nice independent bars and restaurants. The area is also adjacent to Columbia Heights, which has Target, Best Buy, etc. as well as Adams Morgan, which is very lively on weekends.
Wonderful in the heart of mount pleasant. Lots or bars and restaurants
