Neptune Marina is one of the most overpriced, underdelivered living experiences in Marina del Rey
You’ll be paying luxury rates for subpar everything: elevators that break down constantly, a garage that feels more like a crime scene than a secured facility, and management that operates with a toxic blend of indifference and corporate greed. Safety is a real issue here—there have been multiple car break-ins, package thefts, and even a physical assault in the garage—and management’s response has been silence or excuses.
Greystar’s approach is simple: bleed tenants dry. They’ve used recent tragedies to justify jacking up rent by the maximum allowed, while offering no improvements or accountability in return. It’s all about extracting more money from residents while cutting corners wherever possible.
Don’t be fooled by the location or the marketing. This building is not worth the cost—or the stress.

Neptune Marina
Neptune has been a great spot. It's right on the water overlooking the marina. Seeing the water and boats every day brings me more joy than I expected. It's an 8 minute walk to the beach, and close by to the Venice bars/restaurants and a mile walk to Abbot Kinney. There is a gym, pool, hot tub, and game room on site, and you can rent kayaks, paddle boards, and bikes for free. The mail/package delivery system is reliable. Neighborhood is extremely clean and there are no homeless people in the immediate area (a rarity for LA).
The only downside is that part of Marina del Rey can become a bottleneck during heavy traffic times when leaving the area. Also, the elevators break down regularly which can be a pain.
