Good for the cost

Super close to school and low in price compared to apartments around me! It's a nice apartment and fits one person well, but I have limited natural light and it is near a lot of undergrads

Great location, limited parking, limited laudry

I am a big fan of Cornerstone Apts. as a rental company. They respond to maintenance request and other emails quickly. They are understanding and friendly. I know some people have even been able to negotiate lower rent than offered when renewing a lease.

This property in particular is not my favorite. Most units are around 500sq/ft and do not include a dishwasher. There is only one washer and one dryer per 26ish units and you have to go outside to get there. It is pretty annoying in the winter. The building controls the heat/boiler and doesnt turn it on until late October so there are several cold days in September. There is a waitlist for parking and it costs extra, however you can get a residential parking pass from the city which is free (street parking) or you can pay to park at the law school. That being said, they do allow pets, the rent is about as cheap as it gets, and it is a 5 min walk from campus, starbucks, and restaurants. Not a bad spot for the time being.

Topaz Review

I've enjoyed my experience so far at Topaz Apartments. The biggest thing for me was location to the law school, so with that in mind I've given a 6 overall. The apartment was clean when I moved in. Maintenance is very timely in their responses and fixes what the issue is. It's in a college area so there's plenty of people to meet with tons of surrounding apartment complexes. Small grass area across the street for dogs or just to get outside. Some of the issues are the views. You're surrounded by other apartments and even on the top floor (the 4th) there's not much to see. Some apartments have more windows, so keep that in mind. There is no in-unit washing, and only 2 rooms with a machine in each so plan your laundry days around when it's typically busy (Ex: Sundays will take all day finding a time to do it). The A/C unit in my unit is fairly loud when it runs, so I keep it on energy save mode so it's not consistently running. Finally, the walk to the RTD is short which is nice for anyone who uses it for work or takes that to the airport to travel home like me. There's also a decent amount of food places, namely a Starbucks and bagel shop directly across the street.

Great to look at, bad to live in

This apartment looks great until you actually live here. The stairs leading up to the apartment are metal so when it snows they are exceptionally slippery. Not a huge deal, just make sure to have a hand free to catch yourself. Inside the apartment has a great look and appeal, however, the walls are very thin. Be prepared to use headphones to drown out your neighbors conversations from above, below, and from both sides. The price isn't terrible for the neighborhood and parking is a reasonable price as well.
