It is difficult to get in contact with the landlord. The emergency number that the landlord has on the website does not function either. Maintenance requests are not completely in a timely manner and often require multiple calls and online submissions. Sound travels very easily through the apartment and we can hear every footstep from the people living in the unit above us. The apartment looks decent on the inside but we have had multiple problems since living here. The water bill is also very expensive (about $100 per unit each month). There is access to a parking lot behind the building for additional monthly costs.

The walls are very thin and it is easy to hear the conversation of upstair neighbors
Our apartment was electric only and the electric was extremely high especially during the winter.
There was a leak in my bedroom and management refused to get a plumber until it persisted for over four weeks and the problem reoccured a month later.

I love the space. It's a large room, I get my own bathroom, and there's a living room that I'm not even using. However, there were some times where we had some problems with the house, e.g. a leak, and it took management over a week to respond. The apartment is also on the ground floor, so if you need sunlight you might want to reconsider. However, there might be other complexes open. It's very close to the CWRU shuttle stop, Dave's grocery store, and a large Starbucks, along with some decent food choices along Cedar. 15-20min walk to Case.

These apartments are fairly updated and the management is pretty responsive for maintenance usually within 1 day. There is a lot of room, my cat loves running up and down the hallway. This is a 2 bedroom 2 bath with 1 of the bathrooms inside the bedroom like a master suite so yo kind of have your own space even with a roommate. The closets inside each room are well sized, but there is only 1 closet for the apartment space. This review is for a garden apartment so there isn't as much light, but upper floors are probably fine. Living in Cedar Fairmount is great! You have bars restaurants cleaners starbucks bagels and a less than 5 min walk to the shuttle and about 15 min walk to the school.
