Old but quiet and low maintenance

Appliances are old and deep cleaning may be needed upon move-in, but we've only had like two minor maintenance issues in 2 years, which were both resolved by the property's repairmen within 1-2 business days, and you cannot hear noise from other apartments. Most residents are in their 20s to 30s and have dogs or cats; there are not many older residents or children. It's also fairly spacious with the kitchen, living room, washer/dryer, and powder room on the first floor (wood), then two bedrooms with their own bathroom in the second floor (carpet).

Shoal Creek Apartments

I've absolutely loved living here! It's a 2-story townhome in a quiet neighborhood about 10 minutes from campus.

Utilities usually run around 100 per month, so with a roommate, I pay about 550/month.

When you move in, you lock your rent price in. It isn't gated, but I haven't had a single issue with car break-ins/etc.

It's an older complex, so the appliances aren't stainless steel or anything like that, but they still work well and are nicely maintained. If something breaks, maintenance is quick to fix it (the longest I've had to wait is about 2 days for non-emergency issues).

Each unit has a decent size patio area. The place is pet friendly.

You're only about 2 minutes away from kroger/publix/aldi. There is a bus stop right at the front of the complex.

There aren't any fans, however, so the bedrooms can get warm in the summer months. I recommend bringing a standing fan if you move in.
