Excellent place to live!

Living in this unit has been wonderful. It's located relatively close to campus, is reasonably priced for what it offers, and the complex is peaceful. I have had no issues with management, nor have I had any issues with other residents. My largest complaint has been that the complex has an exclusive internet provider - a minor complaint at best.

Bargain living

The Woodlands are great for the price. Only 10 min drive to school, large apartment and common areas and free parking. Gate access makes it feel safe and the area is very quiet and good for studying. Utilities usually run $250 total before being split by 3 roommates.

Woodlands

I love how quiet the complex is and it's a nice place to go on walks after class. The bedrooms are large and the management is always quick to send maintenance when we have issues.

Woodlands review

Nice house, we have had an odd amount of maintenance problems but our landlord has been very responsive. The neighborhood is gated and our house has nice finishes. We feel safe living there.

4-year Resident

I've lived in the Woodlands since my junior year of undergrad, and several of my friends lived in other units, and we all love it. All units in the neighborhood are privately owned, so some have individual landlords, and others are handled by the management company. It's usually best to contact the management company if you're looking for a unit, as they can connect future residents with private landlords. However, some landlords find tenants through student housing Facebook groups.

The neighborhood is a little further from the law school (~2 miles), but I have never had any serious issues commuting to and from campus. Living on the east side has other benefits: (1) close to grocery stores and non-downtown restaurants, (2) very close to the loop, and (3) the neighborhood is right next to the Greenway trails.

The neighborhood also has several amenities (pool, gym, clubhouse with study areas, and tennis and basketball courts). They're all pretty well kept for student-apartments, and if residents have any issues, they can reach out to the management company to have something taken care of. For example, we had a lot of bees and other bugs on our porch this summer, and the management had a pest control company come by and spray the porch and the inside of the apartment.

As far as safety, the neighborhood is a gated community. There is an off-duty police officer that lives in the neighborhood and is available in an emergency. The only crime I've heard about is that residents' cars are broken into for valuables - but only when the doors are left unlocked.

Generally maintenance is done quickly and everyone is very nice

I love it here and have been here for years. The units are individually owned and there are apartments, condos, and cottages — which makes it feel more like a neighborhood.

The Woodlands is overall a great place to live

As far as our apartment itself goes, we absolutely love it! Thick walls, great central heat and air, no pest problems, etc.

The Woodlands is overall a great place to live

Our apartment is basically a duplex. So we have a house within the neighborhood that is split in half. We have an upstairs and a downstairs and overall, we love the apartment itself. We really have no problems with it. The walls are not thin so we rarely hear our neighbors. We have great central heating and air. We also have a good washer and dryer. And plenty of space for guests!
