Affordable, But With Notable Drawbacks
I recently moved out of these apartment homes after living there from July 2024 to July 2025. While my overall experience had some positive aspects, there are several concerns that prospective tenants should be aware of.
The unit I was given was in noticeably poor condition upon move-in. The apartment was visibly aged and not thoroughly cleaned, with the kitchen drawers handles covered in grime and the toilet seat showing signs of discoloration. Pest issues were also present throughout my stay—particularly ants, which repeatedly got into my food. Although the complex charges a mandatory $5 monthly pest control fee, my maintenance requests regarding this issue were routinely closed without resolution. The ant problem persisted throughout my lease and likely remains unresolved, as it was never properly addressed. Additionally, communication with the leasing office was often challenging, as the office appeared to be severely understaffed, making it difficult to reach someone for assistance.
If you choose to move in regardless, I strongly recommend that you take the move-in inspection process very seriously. Document everything thoroughly—write detailed notes, take photos, and keep a personal copy of the checklist. I was charged a move-out cleaning fee for carpet issues that were present when I moved in. When I raised this concern, the response I received was: "I’ve reviewed your move-in inventory and condition form, but I did not see any notes indicating issues." Accurate documentation could help avoid similar charges.
Lastly, I would encourage future residents to approach online reviews with some caution. Upon move-in, residents are encouraged to leave a five-star review, and it is suggested that anything less than five stars should be withheld. This practice may affect the overall ratings and feedback available online.
In summary, while the rent may be budget-friendly, there are maintenance, cleanliness, and communication issues that should be carefully considered before committing.

The Bridge
The Bridge at Tech Ridge is great. There are a good amount of amenities, and you get a lot of space for the price. The complex is right off Parmer and I35, so you can easily drive to the law school. Additionally, there is an HEB across the street and many restaurants nearby.
