They are not riding a good wave.

Seems like they're trying to be on top but they don't have their priorities straight. No cell service and they don't let people know when they sign the lease. No management helping during the fires, false information in texts during the fires. The connection issues are horrible and the safety concerns are very big. There were at least 3 power outages in the complex not even including during the fires. They would last for multiple hours at a time. My car was towed out of the parking lot in its designated space by accident. Management did not see it or even notify me, when there was supposed to be security monitoring the parking lot as it's supposed to be a safe facility to park, and my designated space was paid for monthly. This dishwasher was only working half the time. The internet was spotty.

Good value for close proximity to school

I’ve been living here for about 3 months and I haven’t had any complaints. I’ve heard a few negatives from other residents but the management is being changed now so I’m hoping things will be better moving forward. I haven’t had any issues with my time here. I like that it’s secluded and the package room is easily accessible

Pretty close to campus (relatively speaking, 15-20 min drive), 10 min away from a Trader Joe's, 10-15 min away from Target and Costco. Big apartment community with a few pools included, very safe feeling. Next to a neighborhood where you can go on walks.
Many families and Pepperdine students live here.

It’s okay!

The Buildings are nice and so are the people but there is no connection at all in the area! If the power goes out you have to drive or walk down the street!

Not as affordable but comfortable housing

For the Malibu area, more affordable than most places but still a bit pricey. The location is quiet and beautiful. Quiet community and the leasing staff are super helpful. This is a great option if you have roommates.

Close and good value!

MCA is a good choice for nearly all law students: it’s a 15-20min drive to classes in the mornings, but is considerably closer to restaurants, fast food, and more grocery store selection. There are like 4 pools, a hot tub, a pretty stellar and centrally-located gym, dog park, tennis courts, lots of good complex amenities. There are single, double, and triple units available, the prize is reasonable, and mail comes to a central facility near the leasing center. Many folks discover that their friends live in MCA, as it may currently have the title of “most law students in one place.” Highly endorse, but make sure you download both apps so you can handle all of your maintenance requests, AC adjustments, door unlocking, and rent payments in one place!

Pepperdine Law Student Review--Malibu Canyon Apartments

The facilities are great but the office is nearly impossible to get a hold of. Good luck trying to get them to help you with anything. If you don't have any issues, you'll be okay though.

Solid Place to Live

The management company was a nightmare to work with, but once we were settled in, it was great. Nice modern rooms. Kitchen a little small for three people, but it does the job. The three-bedroom apartments here have a slightly larger living room than the two-bedrooms.

Malibu Canyon Apartments

It's a nice, quiet place to live. Great amenities. No carpet in the apartments, so good for pets. Only complaint is horrible cell phone reception. Must log into wifi to text and call while in apartment.

10min from any grocery store you prefer, almost every fast food restaurant, a lot of decent sit-down food, and pretty close to the 101 to get into the city if desired. Shoutout Michael’s Pizza, best in the greater Malibu/Calabasas area.
Ver peaceful neiborhood lots place to walk dogs if you have one. Also there are hiking trails behind the community very easy to get to.
It's pretty and nice! Haven't really explored.
Nice place to live, but living costs are pretty high. Lots of restaurants but caters toward an older crowd.
Quiet and safe

Neighborhood is good, typical high income suburban area.
Not the most walkable. Far from entertainment, dining, shopping. Quiet and upscale.
