Great historical apartment close to campus
The Verona has been great to live in as a law student who is new to Detroit. I am about a 3 minute walk from the law building and the area is surprisingly quiet. Also, the free Q line street car is right at the end of my street and I can get downtown easily, though the Q does get delayed or stopped on occasion. The building is old, as are most appliances, but it is clean and well cared for. Coin laundry machines are in the basement. Management has been easy to work with and responsive. Parking on the premises is expensive and extremely limited so I keep my car in Parking Structure 1 on campus, which is also about a 3 minutes walk away. Pro tip, free street parking is available on most streets East of John R St if you are okay with a longer walk.
