Depot Apartment Review

The apartments are fairly nice and pretty secure, so I always feel safe. The building has lots of amenities to use as well. The building and living space are nice and I have experienced no problems. However, I encountered numerous issues when applying to rent there and securing the apartment. The communication with the staff is pretty poor, but once all of the initial steps are done, it is pretty good.

A Nice Place

The Depot is a pretty decent place to live. The space is clean and spacious, and there are a lot of amenities like a gym and pool. The staff is always very friendly, though it can be tough to reach them sometimes.

Good

I’ve had a good experience. It’s a good location within walking distance to the school and certain shops. The utilities are included and maintenance is usually quick if there’s any issue. The office staff are usually friendly, however sometimes they can be blunt. Sometimes it’s hard to get into contact with the office but they receive a lot of calls so that may be why. They have a good system for packages too.

Good Value for

Overall, I have been happy with my experience at The Depot. I specifically like that apartments are extremely spacious and that parking is secure and covered. My biggest complaints are that I can often hear my upstairs neighbors, and that the complex is so large that walking to and from my car can be inconvenient. Another complaint is that the gym is much too small for the amount of people who live in the building. It feels full when there are 5 or more people in it and the only times there are typically less than that many people in it are early in the morning or late at night. Also, I have had a good amount of maintenance issues arise, but thankfully the maintenance workers are very responsive and usually come within a day or two of putting in a request.

Bad pro rata

It was overall good, I do hate the fact the rent is not prorated and basically make you pay for an entire month of August, even though move in is the end of August.

Good price, poor quality

Staff is overall friendly and great. However, residents abuse the amenities to the point they are out of service more than they are in. Apartments often have water issues from the wall mounted air units. Residents frequently keep their apartments in deplorable conditions. Leading to bed bugs and rodents. The price is nice, but the students you’ll live with are not.
