Very new, clean, friendly apartment close to campus!

This building is very new and it shows - the appliances in the apartment are all brand new and the apartment was in great shape when I walked in. The building has a nice outdoor pool, lounge area, gym, office (great for studying!) and a beautiful rooftop area. The residents are all friendly and there are 3 events per month with food and drinks!

Great place to live!

I have loved the time I have spent at Acklen so far. The staff is excellent, community areas are clean and the building is pretty quiet. Never had trouble finding a parking spot and the VUMC shuttle picks up just down the street so the commute to school is easy if you don't want to pay for parking.

Overall good apartment

The apartment is nice and all appliances work well. Maintenance is always quick to complete jobs and are helpful. The pool and courtyard are also very nice. Most apartments have garden tubs and the 1st and 2nd floor apartments have concrete floors. The apartment has a small dog park in the garage and is around the corner from the Centennial dog park. Before MAA owned the building we had few problems. Since the transition, we have had more frequent problems with dog waste in the courtyard, loud crowds late at night, and malfunctioning gates into the parking garage. To end on a positive! It’s a very quick drive to school and you can drive home during longer breaks if needed. The apartment is pet friendly and has storage lockers for package delivery, and a computer cafe with study room and printer. Also, coffee machine with hot cocoa!!

Okay budget-friendly place

The place is old and don't have additional facilities. But room is spacious, lots of sunlight and neighborhood is quite.

Acklen West End

Living at Acklen has been great! It is super convenient to both the 3401 and Crystal Terrance VUMC bus route, making it easy to get to school and you don't have to pay for parking. The management is nice and responsive. We have a few social events a month. I honestly have no complaints about living here!

Acklen

Acklen is a brand new building still half under construction. The parking garage and secured doors makes me feel safe. The gym has top of the line equipment. The only complaints are that I wish the closet was bigger in the 1 bedroom (lack of storage space) and I can sometimes hear the person above me walking heavily.

Amazing Place to Live

Not only is this apartment in a fabulous location, it is a brand new building with beautiful amenities and amazing staff. I could not ask for a more incredible place to live and the gym is incredible. There is a spin studio and yoga studio. A beautiful pool that I can't wait to use and so much more.

The most pet friendly apartments in Nashville!

Acklen is great. I found them online before I moved to Nashville. The staff is fantastic and very helpful. On the day of move in, and my first time seeing the apartment, I decided I would prefer a different floorplan. The staff was very accommodating and I was in a new apartment within the hour. The amenities are above and beyond any other apartments I have seen here in Nashville. Acklen is extremely pet friendly, it seems like everyone has a dog. Great dog-run area. Couldn't have picked a better first apartment in Nashville!

Getting around Midtown

Midtown Reviews

I am on the border of Midtown and Music Row so it feels very safe here, there is not tons of traffic which is nice when walking around and even driving whenever I get out in my car, and there is plenty to do with a bunch of restaurants and bars. There is even an outdoor concert every Monday at one of the bars across the street, so I can open my windows and just listen to live music when doing homework - I love it!
very fun atmosphere. Central to everything and lots of restaurants and shopping near by and very close to school. about a 5 minute drive
Everything is a short drive away (15 minutes or less). There are grocery stores, restaurants and bars in the areas so you aren’t missing out on the social experience. This is a more residential corner of the midtown area so you don’t hear traffic/ambulance noise even though there are freeways and hospitals nearby. Close to Centennial Park and Percy Warner Trails so if you enjoy the outdoors this is a nice area to be in.
Midtown is great if you want to live close to campus. Vibrant bar/restaurant scene and short walk to campus. Said "yes" to all the additional questions around safety, family/pet friendly, etc. but you also have to realize it's very much a party area. Division is very popular and as a result, you always have to watch your surroundings and be aware at all times.
Midtown is situated just next to Vanderbilt with tons of fun bars and restaurants
Lots of bars and food places, easy to walk around, safe, vibrant.
Restaurants nearby, quiet, close to gym. I really like it.
Very close to campus and plenty things around to do
