Love it

Truly the best location and best management company. Maintenance requests are answered so, so quickly. My rent is not cheap but better compared to almost every property nearby. I am a walk away from school and close to all the Logan Circle/14th st bars and restaurants.

Great Place to Live

1210 Mass Ave offers everything you need - large living spaces, walk-in closets, 24 hour concierge desk, a friendly and proactive management team, friendly neighbors, and convenient location for walking and metro access. I’ve been here 4 years and have no plans to move.

1210 Mass!

I have lived here for almost 8 months and have enjoyed my time here! I can't say enough great things about the staff. They know us by name and are really responsive to requests. They love dogs and cats. The location is walking distance to every metro line, lots of grocery stores, and a plethora of restaurants and shops. The apartments are nice and quiet. I never hear the people around me. The eLounge and gym are really nice as well. I sometimes wish the front desk was more responsive to requests, but in general, they're doing a great job. I recommend this building.

20 Minute Walk To Anything You Want

The building is great, the one down side is that the location is pretty close to everything but not really close to anything. The nearest Metros are McPherson or Mt Vernon, each about a 7 minute walk away (Metro Center is not much farther, maybe 12 minutes). The nearest large grocery stores are either Whole Foods on P St or Safeway on L St, each about a 15 minute walk. 14th St has a lot of great bars to go out on, again about a 10-15 minute walk. Finally it's about a 20 minute walk to campus.

Mass Ave

Mass Ave is absolutely beautiful, and the best part about it is the location. I feel like I can walk to anything at any time. My boyfriend and I also have plenty of room in our apartment, which is sometimes hard to come by in DC. I highly recommend, great staff, too.

Homey

Very comfortable spot , and can I please emphasize the location. Mass avenue is in the center of everything that anyone could possibly want in Washington DC. The building itself is not the newest, in fact it is a little dated... particularly the elevator.

1210 Mass, Maybe 5 Minutes Too Far But Otherwise Great

The apartment has everything you'd need: concierge to receive packaged, gym in the basement, patio with grill, and a dry cleaner in the building. You're walking distance to essentially everything in NW. My walk to the law school in the morning is 23 minutes. The management is super responsive and the space is really nice, definitely a great value. Also you're super close to the bars on 14th street which is a fun area. The only negative I have is there's not a super conveniently located grocery store. Safeway and Whole Foods are each at least a 10 minute walk away which is a hassle trying to carry heavy bags back.

Adequate apartments, but could be better

Pretty loud on the street as it is near a fire station. Clean, well run, far enough from school

Love this area, right near Logan Circle and 14th street which has so much good food and nightlife!
Amazing neighborhood. Close to GW and close to so much good food and nice restaurants.
Sometimes noisy, but the front desk quickly deal with it if you ask
Great, Safe neighborhood with great food and close to campus.
Foggy Bottom/West End are great for 1Ls -- you will get to know the area around school and you will be conveniently within a few blocks of GW. There are a lot of food options, but night life is lacking (though you're a short walk to DuPont and Georgetown). There are plenty of busses and metros around.
Good only in the sense that it is near the school, that you can receive warnings from the school and D.C. (if signing up), that you can be assured of safety generally even if coming in late due to pulling off night studies in the library. However, noise levels are high, so you can hardly study indoors at home because of people wanting to earn money in exchange for their loud and terrible performances. This means that you may ultimately end up outside for work or rest during morning/afternoon. Noise in the evening can be high too due to some people having gone drunk. Noise (some loud trucks and mostly machine sounds) and lights can be too much for sleeping deeply.
It's really only convenient because of how close the law school is. Otherwise, I would not live here. Definitely a business/corporate area that shuts down on the weekends. Not a lot of options for going out to eat unless it's either overpriced or fast food. The only grocery store that's walking distance is Whole Foods, which I personally hate shopping at.
The Aston is the furthest GW housing from the campus, so we had to walk more than any other student to get to class. We are also the furthest away from any Metro station, but still not considerably far when you look at the big picture. There are grocery stores, bars, and restaurants nearby which is a perk, but it is pretty noisy around here. But I guess that's anywhere in Downtown DC. There are always cars honking, ambulance sirens, etc. But the area seems pretty safe.
