Beautiful buidling

Beautiful building in great proximity to both school and Dupont Circle, as well as many of the local practices we get sent to for some of our rotations. Many of the apartments have been recently renovated to include nice hardwood floors, granite countertops, stainless steel appliances and new washer/dryers in unit. The building also has a small, but useful basement gym and a doorman.

AMAZING

My studio at Hamilton House is perfect! There is ample closet space, washer dryer in unit, and completely updated kitchen and bathroom with wood floors throughout. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. I have never had a problem with anything in the building or in my apartment.

I recommend this apartment

I used to live at the Hamilton House for about 2.5 years and I really enjoyed my time. I lived in a 1 bedroom/1 bath apartment that came with appliances, and it was spacious and very clean.

I strongly recommend this building to any grad students or professionals who are looking for an upscale apartment in the Dupont Circle area. The location is excellent, as well as the condition of the building.

The staff there, everyone from the leasing office to the front desk to the maintenance crew is very nice and is always helpful all the time. Maintenance problems are taken care of very quickly.

Overall, it's a great place to live. 9/10.

Quiet and spacious, but overpriced

Hamilton House has been a great first apartment to live in Washington, D.C. Since moving in the management has been helpful, personable and thorough. My apartment was recently remodeled and has great amenities. My only complaint is they do not let me have an additional person use the pool with me in the summer when I have a 1 bedroom and the apartment complex is overpriced in comparison to other apartments in the area.

Hamilton House

If you go to GW but don't want to live on campus, Hamilton House is a good bet. It's more expensive than apartments in Virginia, but it's convenient, safe, clean, and the commute is short. It's a 10 to 15 minute walk to campus (depending on how fast you walk and what route you take). The building is close to Whole Foods and Trader Joe's. It's near the Dupont Circle, Farragut West, and Farragut North stops on the metro. If you're looking for quality at a good value then Hamilton House is a great option.

Great place to live

Hamilton House a bit pricey, but not so bad for the center of Dupont. You can't ask for a better spot, it is right under the circle and just north of M, so there are good restaurants and bars everywhere. The gym leaves something to be desired, but the pool is wonderful in the summertime. Definitely recommended.

Great GW Housing Alternative!

Hamilton House can be described in three words: accommodating and beautifully renovated. The old hotel, new individual apartments feel is combined with great leasing, maintenance and front desk staff to have a great living experience right in Dupont.

A great place to live for GW law students.

Close to both campus and to one of DC's nightlife hubs (DuPont Circle). The building underwent a fairly renovation over the course of my 2 years as a resident, which likely will make my rent amount inaccurate for future renters. It's a nice building and the management and staff is incredibly friendly. As far as amenities go this building has a nice rooftop sun-deck (but nothing special) and a very small gym (but it does have a sauna). Also note, the food options in the immediate area are quite limited and the closest grocery stores are Whole Foods Foggy Bottom (0.5 mi) and Trader Joe's (25th/M), which are both a bit of a walk from the Hamilton. Hope that helps. Good luck with your search!

Beautiful, spacious and great staff

The Hamilton House has been an amazing place to live. I live in one of the renovated apartments. It is spacious, and I love the hardwood floors. The staff at the Hamilton House are friendly and helpful. I have had few maintenance issues, and these issues were handled quickly. The location is close to Dupont Circle and U Street. There are quite a few things to do around the area with great dining options.

Good location. Walking distance to GW campus (good because we are GW students) but also close to Dupont. Good metro access for both red line and orange/blue/silver line
Dupont and 14th street have a lot to offer in terms of bars, restaurants, and nightlife. There are multiple grocery stores nearby and easy access to nearly everything.
DuPont is the best for Gtown students! Close to the GUTS bus and easy access to campus, but also close to the more happening parts of the city.
So many good bars, can get crowded and noisy but living a couple blocks off the circle is perfect. Easy shuttle to campus.
Very safe neighborhood to live in. Tons of restaurants and bars nearby.
The neighborhood is excellent - just south of DuPont Circle. There are great restaurants and bars within walking distance, and the building is only two blocks from the red line metro. It's also walking distance from Foggy Bottom, Adams Morgan, and Georgetown.
DuPont Circle is the place to live if you want to get the full D.C. experience while you live here. It's pricey, but you can 100% live there without any issue on the loans from the school.
Lovely combination of downtown offices, restaurants and bars, and residential buildings and houses. A couple of blocks from Dupont Circle and the metro stations there.
