Great place to live

It’s expensive, but I think it’s a good balance between price and services. The building is simple, but clean and very well mantained. Doorman 24h, no issues receiving packages. They are very responsive to issues (changed my AC unit on the same day it broke, help out with heavy packages etc). The pool, while nice to have, I don’t use much. The gym is very suboptimal. The apartment itself is amazing. Very spacious, great light, a lot of closet space.

Beautiful buidling

Beautiful building in great proximity to both school and Dupont Circle, as well as many of the local practices we get sent to for some of our rotations. Many of the apartments have been recently renovated to include nice hardwood floors, granite countertops, stainless steel appliances and new washer/dryers in unit. The building also has a small, but useful basement gym and a doorman.

AMAZING

My studio at Hamilton House is perfect! There is ample closet space, washer dryer in unit, and completely updated kitchen and bathroom with wood floors throughout. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. I have never had a problem with anything in the building or in my apartment.

I recommend this apartment

I used to live at the Hamilton House for about 2.5 years and I really enjoyed my time. I lived in a 1 bedroom/1 bath apartment that came with appliances, and it was spacious and very clean.

I strongly recommend this building to any grad students or professionals who are looking for an upscale apartment in the Dupont Circle area. The location is excellent, as well as the condition of the building.

The staff there, everyone from the leasing office to the front desk to the maintenance crew is very nice and is always helpful all the time. Maintenance problems are taken care of very quickly.

Overall, it's a great place to live. 9/10.

Quiet and spacious, but overpriced

Hamilton House has been a great first apartment to live in Washington, D.C. Since moving in the management has been helpful, personable and thorough. My apartment was recently remodeled and has great amenities. My only complaint is they do not let me have an additional person use the pool with me in the summer when I have a 1 bedroom and the apartment complex is overpriced in comparison to other apartments in the area.

Hamilton House

If you go to GW but don't want to live on campus, Hamilton House is a good bet. It's more expensive than apartments in Virginia, but it's convenient, safe, clean, and the commute is short. It's a 10 to 15 minute walk to campus (depending on how fast you walk and what route you take). The building is close to Whole Foods and Trader Joe's. It's near the Dupont Circle, Farragut West, and Farragut North stops on the metro. If you're looking for quality at a good value then Hamilton House is a great option.

Great place to live

Hamilton House a bit pricey, but not so bad for the center of Dupont. You can't ask for a better spot, it is right under the circle and just north of M, so there are good restaurants and bars everywhere. The gym leaves something to be desired, but the pool is wonderful in the summertime. Definitely recommended.

Great GW Housing Alternative!

Hamilton House can be described in three words: accommodating and beautifully renovated. The old hotel, new individual apartments feel is combined with great leasing, maintenance and front desk staff to have a great living experience right in Dupont.

Great neighborhood. Very walkable, even at night I always feel safe. Usually lots of people out and about. Young community, lots of bars and some awesome restaurants. Farmers markets and outside concerts in the warm months. Easy access to foggy bottom metro (15min walk) and dupont metro (5 min walk). Lots of green space (rock creek park). Georgetown 20 min walk with great shopping. 20 min walk to AdMo with great restaurants/bars
I love the neighborhood! Perfectly situated between Dupont Circle and Foggy Bottom. Walking distance to campus, while still being separate enough to feel independent. Tons of restaurants, bars, and stores around. The neighborhood feels very safe but is quiet and residential, too.
Dupont Circle is a great area. I like that my block feels very residential, but I'm close to convenience stores, the Metro, and only a 15-20 minute walk to the law school. Sometimes I walk over to Georgetown, which is nice.
I have never felt unsafe walking home at night from campus. The area is mostly embassies and very fancy apartments and townhouses.
could not be happier. i love having a safe space away from the law school
West End is amazing! Such great restaurants and stores around!
Amazing food and restaurants all within walking distance
Hamilton House is located in the crossings of West End, Foggy Bottom, and DuPont. It is a very clean, classy area. Super incredible how you can walk down the street to old-town DC, walk down another street and its all clubs and bars of DuPont, walk the other direction and its GW, walk another direction and its DuPont circle and all the incredible food. This is an ideal location, especially being situated right in between Foggy Bottom / GW Metro stop and the DuPont Metro stop.
