City of Sevens

My one-bedroom apartment has a lot of storage, a walk-in closet, plenty of space for furniture, and the balcony backs right up to and overlooks the edge of Rock Creek Park, so it's relatively quiet and nice view of nature. If you can get past the dated paint colors, hallways that look like something out of the shining, weird fake flowers and decorations circa 1980 that keep appearing around the lobby area, and old cabinets and hardware, it's a very decent and convenient place to live. Dishwasher, very responsive maintenance staff, huge common laundry room, 24hr front desk to hold all your packages, all the S buses right at your doorstep, and a short commute into downtown or out of the city. No gym or rooftop or pool, but that keeps the rent affordable, so no complaints. I don't see a reason to leave until I buy a condo.

Old building, but amazing location and great views

It's an old building and the hallways are a bit dark and musty. Our unit, however, is simply amazing. One of the best values I've gotten in DC, we get so much more than what we pay for. Views of Rock Creek Prk are amazing and we can see deer in the am.
