Woodbury Gardens reviews and highlights
- best combination of price, amenities, and location
- great neighborhood
- lots of green space, which is great for walking dogs
- serene and removed from noise
- clean and the maintenance team is very responsive
Good value, nice environment
It is cheaper than down town apartments. You also get more space. The only thing to consider is the commute. Different from living in down town, you need to use shuttle, bus and Uber to commute. But I get used to the commute.

Spacious and good value
Woodbury gives you more room for your money. There are three types of units (basic, mid-level, or upgraded) - I chose basic which means the kitchen has older looking appliances and linoleum flooring. The plus side is that I’m allowed to paint and hang nails. Some of my friends have the upgraded option and it does look nicer, with a wood looking kitchen floor, nicer appliances, and crown molding. It wasn’t worth the extra cost to me, but they love it.
Cons: Depending where your apartment is located, you could be far away from the clubhouse (like me). It’s a minor inconvenience but in the winter is tougher to get there and use the gym. Another con is that because it’s dog-friendly, you can hear your neighbors’ dogs when closer to your front door (like when sitting in the living room).
Pros: The clubhouse is great with free printing, a gym, and a pool for the warmer months. The staff are responsive and maintenance requests are filled quickly.

Great option for couples
My wife came to Ross with me as a partner and she loves the environment of Woodbury gardens. Also, the apartments have a pretty decent space and the management is extremely responsive. If you need any repair they try to do that in less than 24h.

First 2 months at Woodburry Gardens
The community is ideal for people in couple or student parents with young families. The application process is unfair as you are required to pay down $1000 non-refundable to hold a spot for you.

Wonderful Woodbury
I have lived in Woodbury for two years, and it is a gem. The community center is great, pool and gym! Even Peloton bikes :) Free parking all over, and covered spots available as well. We have so much space in our unit, it is a townhouse standalone, laundry in unit with a huge basement as well. Woodbury is pet friendly and has a dog park! (Sadly don't have my own but I play with all the neighborhood pets which is so fun). It is a little farther from Ross than other options, but it has a shuttle that runs straight to Ross multiple times a day, as well as easy access to the public bus. (Also very walkable, about 25 minutes). also...LARGE closets!!

Woodbury
Ideal for law students. The complex is mostly grad students, young professionals, families with young kids, and retirees so things are typically quiet.
The appartment has few problems (ie no mold, nothing has fallen appart) apart from occasional plumbing problems. Management is disorganized and can be slow to react to issues but is light years ahead of any other lamdlord I've had. Walls are quite thin.
Shuttle, gym, grill, pool and breakfast/free drinks are all nice, but shouldn't really inform your decision. The 6 bus picks up right on south industrial and will take you to school gaster than the shuttle usually but having both does add flexibility. Having luckys right around the corner comes in handy often for quick meals or picking up something you forgot groccery shopping.

Overpriced
overpriced. The place is falling apart and the maintenance ghetto rigs any “fixes”.

Safe and Warm
I like Woodbury Gardens, many grad students who have families and pets live here. Also non students and other professionals live in the area. The only thing I don't like is how far away it is from school.

Solid apartments, good value
Woodbury is a solid option for people with roommates or families. Good complex, decent buildings, pet friendly, generally friendly staff. It's a bit far away so it can be tough to go places if you don't have a car, but it's close to bus lines and to Lucky's supermarket. Downside is that all units are either apartments or townhomes, so the walls are relatively thin and water pressure can be iffy (since plumbing is shared by all the residents).

Okay place to live - very convenient
Woodbury gardens is a fine property and very responsive to any issues you may have. The commute to school is the best part about it however. For someone who doesn't want to be on campus with all the undergrad's or for someone like me who has a spouse, this is a great option.

Yost Reviews
I haven't had to go to school in person yet (due to the pandemic) - but once things are back in person, I would use the community shuttle to get to campus and possibly back depending on the time of day I head back. Otherwise, I would take the bus or walk. Walking takes about 30 min but the bus will cut down most of that since there is a city stop right at the entrance to Woodbury.
