Woodbury Gardens reviews and highlights
- best combination of price, amenities, and location
- great neighborhood
- lots of green space, which is great for walking dogs
- serene and removed from noise
- clean and the maintenance team is very responsive
Well-kept
Woodbury Gardens is well-managed and well-kept. It's a bit farther from campus but closer to the stadium than most other apartments and Woodbury provides a shuttle, plus The Ride bus is nearby (and free). The apartments are generally older but are clean and more spacious than other buildings. Also, the residents are mostly graduate students or older people, many of whom have families and dogs, so it's quieter and you don't have to worry about undergrads.

Solid Choice
Basically a modest retirement community, but for grad students. Lots of young families in Woodbury, but not exclusively. A mix of 2-3 story townhouse apartments.
Mostly 1- and 2-bedroom apartments available with a lot of really nice amenities. There's a clubhouse which has a few study rooms, free continental breakfast on weekdays during the school year, a community pool, a community garden, a small fitness center (mostly treadmills and bikes and a weight rack), covered parking for $30/month (which is really clutch in the winter months), and a recently installed dog park, as well. There's also free bonus storage in the basement of the apartment where you can fit a lot of your extra stuff that would otherwise clutter your apartment.
I think my favorite amenity is a shuttle bus that runs to and from Woodbury Gardens to campus every weekday during the school year. The apartments themselves are perfectly fine -- nothing special -- but no major complaints. Sometimes stuff breaks, but there is a repair line and they're always quick to fix things.
It is a comfortable apartment complex in the sense of not really ever having problems with management, and having most of the amenities you could want (washer; dryer; dishwasher; pet friendly). It is also not very far from the law school, only about 1.5 miles south of it. It's about a 30 minute walk or a 10-minute bike ride away.
One heads-up: They have a deeply obnoxious marketing campaign, in which there are signs around that say things like "Woodbury Gardens: A Luxury Rental Community" and "Woodbury Gardens: Live Where the Best Live," which gives off very stuffy smug vibes. Fortunately, in my experience interacting with neighbors and folks at the dog park, those vibes do not actually describe the people who live there.
Also: If you have the option, try to get an apartment closer to the clubhouse (which also houses the fitness center). It's a lot easier to get yourself to go workout in January when you have only have to be outside for 30 seconds, rather than a 3-4 minute walk.

Woodbury Gardens Review
I'm very happy with my apartment. It is spacious, quiet, and well furnished with granite countertops and new appliances. The management company is easy to deal with and responsive. The complex has lots of amenities including a small gym, a pool in the summer, study spaces, a shuttle to campus, and free light breakfast. Many graduate students and researchers live in the complex, and it's easy to get around via the #6 bus.

Woodbury Review
Woodbury Gardens is home to a large Ross community and feels like a nice escape from the throws of downtown Ann Arbor (and undergrads). You have everything you could need here: a gym / pool (2 pelotons are included at no additional cost), a dog park, tennis courts, grills, etc. A local diner, grocery store, wine bar, and local pub are also within a 3-5 minute walk! The shuttle that goes back and forth to Ross is also convenient.

International family living in Ann Arbor
Our experience so far has been great. The place is perfect for families. The clubhouse is amazing with a couple of study rooms and printing machine that has helped me in so many times.

Great place to live for couples!
My partner and I love living in Woodbury Gardens. The staff genuinely cares about residents, there's a shuttle to Ross, and a great (but small) gym. There's a great community of other couples who live here as well.

Good value, nice environment
It is cheaper than down town apartments. You also get more space. The only thing to consider is the commute. Different from living in down town, you need to use shuttle, bus and Uber to commute. But I get used to the commute.

Woodbury is best bang for your buck by far
I have three times the space for the same price, or less, than friends living at 618 or the Yard. I pay very little for covered parking ($25/mo) and Woodbury has great amenities (free shuttle to Ross, free breakfast during the week, pool, gym with Peletons, etc. Getting to campus requires some coordination and planning between taking the Woodbury shuttles, two public bus routes running nearby, and driving, but it is a minor hassle for the incredible value that Woodbury provides.

Great space, close enough to campus
Management is pretty good and a lot of upgrades units are becoming available. Great for couples, families, pet owners, etc. 3 minute walk from great grocery store. Shuttle from the leasing office runs to Ross and back many times per day at convenient times for class.

Great for Students
Overall, this is an above average apartment complex. Management is diligent, responsive, and caring. I have had good experiences working with them so far. The apartment amenities are really good for Ross students. There is breakfast every weekday morning; there is coffee available at all times; there is a shuttle bus to and from campus; there is a reasonably nice, small gym; there are study rooms and computers in the admin building. Also, there is a nice grocery store nearby, and it is within walking distance (about 30 min) of Ross, the Big House, and downtown. This is a good place to live for 2 years while going to school.

Yost Reviews
I haven't had to go to school in person yet (due to the pandemic) - but once things are back in person, I would use the community shuttle to get to campus and possibly back depending on the time of day I head back. Otherwise, I would take the bus or walk. Walking takes about 30 min but the bus will cut down most of that since there is a city stop right at the entrance to Woodbury.
