Overall I’m happy with my apartment. From my research my 1 bedroom is larger than those offered in the more upscale buildings. However I have had to put in numerous service orders due to the fact that the building is old and things break. Somehow my apartment always smells like what someone else in the building is cooking. It is also very hard to get in contact directly with the person who’s supposed to be managing the property because she only comes in every so often and it’s always different days of the week. I think the biggest con is that they decided to raise the rent to be more in line with the high end apartment buildings, but they do not have the quality to back it up.

The experience so far is great. All the furniture is included which is extremely helpful. Also, the management team has been quick to address any complaints we have and do their best to keep us happy. We have already signed on for next year too!

The apartment is renewed and I actually like a lot living here. But the building is old, so you might face some old building problems such as broken windows, bad smell coming from sinks, air conditioning/heating noises. The building is under new management, who is not 100% helpful. In the beginning, I had many issues with them, but now things are starting to work.

Management had changed twice since I moved in. The building itself is an older building, and they had recently added a gym and other amenities. The best thing about this is the location. You will be 2 minutes from the main street, and only about 9 minutes to Ross campus. Great for the Michigan winters!

The building was sold mid-2016, been renovating so far. Lots of upgrades to the building. Can't beat the location. I will be staying for an extra year.

400 Maynard sits in a fantastic location, especially for business school students. It is a brisk 8 minute walk from campus and 1 block away from Skeeps. Furthermore, it is within walking distance to a great variety of food and shops.

The apartment was recently bought out by a new management company. Our lease was for $1305 for a 1BR/1BA. The interior is not great with a cramped kitchen and old carpeted floors. With the buyout happening, the rent will be going up to $1750 with renovations including updated kitchen, faux-hardwood flooring, and new furniture. The location is great but the price was above our budget and so we decided to move to a different location in the following year.

Bottom line: This is one of the most undervalued great quality properties in the area close to Ross. All the other similar apartments in the vicinity cost several hundred dollars more.

Pros: close to everything, you don't need a car unless you are going to grocery, Skeeps is one minute walk, quite house full of PhDs, great responsive management, full furnished quality apartment, awesome view on Diag and Bell tower (depends on where your apartment is located), year-round rooftop with wooden deck where you can throw parties (last year we had an amazing Rooftop Sunset Vodka Party there). It is 10 min walk to Ross.

Cons: Skeeps is one minute walk, few parking options in the area, dumpsters could be noisy twice a week, no groceries (Walgreens, 7/11 and CVS don't count)
