Great Location and Solid Building

I have been at the Eddystone for close to three months now and don't have many complaints. The walls seem thicker than most apartments I've lived in. I can't really hear my neighbors. The management staff is wonderful, especially Barbara. She helped me speed up my move in and was incredibly helpful with arranging a schedule.
One thing that they could improve on is the head/AC system. It's a bit older and I've already had to have people come in and fix it for me. That said, this place is good value and a perfect location.

Eddystone

This apartment has been great. The management is amazing and one of the main reasons I signed a lease here. The building is always clean and pretty quiet. The location is great. There is a whole foods close, and is in walking distance from some great DC restaurants and bars.

About Logan Circle

Logan Circle is a very popular neighborhood among residents. While the vibrant area has several restaurants, bars and boutiques it also encloses a touch of history in the form of performing arts and architecture. There are activities from plays at Studio Theater, concerts at Black Cat to happy hours at Al Fresco to hang out and work up your taste buds after work hours. On the weekends you can enjoy some barbecue and beer in Garden District and perhaps a Sunday brunch at Masa 14.

One reviewer went as far to say that this is the "it" neighborhood for DC, and there's evidence to back that up. It's close to the metro, has tons of restaurants and bars, contains a nice park, and offers plenty of nightlife.

Logan Circle Reviews

Walking distance to several metro lines and going-out areas.
Logan Circle is the best place to be in DC. Less commercialized than dupont yet still a 4 minute walk. Walking distance to Chinatown, U street, and its on 14th. The bars and restaurants feel more small business and localized. People are always out and about.
Logan Circle has become the 'It" neighborhood in DC for a wide swath of DC residents. The 14th Street corridor has become a gastro destination with many of DC top restaurants located on the strip. From the large Whole Foods on P Street, to the newly opened Trader Joes on 14th Street there are tons of food shopping options. Add to the mix the Studio theater and the Blackcat nightclub/Music venue residents can also get their culture fix. There are also a variety of other retail, speciality and service offerings in this happening area. Lets not forget the actual park that the neighborhood gets its name after, which provides a great park to lounge, play with your dog, or simply catch up on some reading.
Logan Circle has been a great place to live. Very walk-able to public transportation and grocery stores. Lots of pets around and friendly people. Near good food and bars as well.
I love my neighborhood. I would recommend it. You are close to all of the bars and restaurants on 14th and U street and also within walking distance of Foggy Bottom, Chinatown and Dupont. You can walk to many different metro stations.
Pros: Safe area, quiet at night, 3 close grocery stores, close to bars and restaurants (U St, DuPont, 14th St, Shaw)

Cons: Commute is about an hour out to Tyson's Corner and about 45 minutes to McLean
Metro, social, busy, crowded
This part of town has gentrified drastically in a short amount of time. That comes with the good and the bad. There are so many developments going up that it has misplaced the communities that once lived here. However, there are still hip old tropes of those communities up and down U St and 14th St. Ethiopian dive restaurants, to great music clubs, and a safe, lively gay scene, this is a booming part of town.
