Amazing building, but poor management

The apartment itself was very nice with dark hardwood flooring and an open kitchen. However, poor building management made it extremely difficult to live there. It took weeks to fix a broken garage door and anyone could enter as they wanted. During this time, my bike lock was cut and my bike stolen because the garage wasn't secure. There was a severe parking shortage, and management seemed unwilling to try to find a solution, despite the residents forming a tenant associate to address the issue. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this apartment.

Good apt

This is a nice place to live -- however, not being close to the metro is an issue. However, there are some restaurants nearby which makes it a bit easier to live in the area. Additionally, it is nice that the apartment has a shuttle bus that takes your to Pentagon City metro.

Beautiful building, bad management

The apartment building itself is beautiful, but there's a severe shortage on parking spaces. It's almost impossible to have company over because there's no where for them to park. Management has changed hands 3 times since I moved in, and it can take quite a while for management to process requests.

Columbia Pike Reviews

Absolutely lovely place to live. Lots of food options in a highly diverse neighborhood.
Been built up a lot in the last few years with a Harris Teeter in walking distance. Lots of metro bus lines right outside the door with a shuttle to the metro
Quiet and residential. A little ways from any restaurants or grocery stores, but there's good bus transport and Capital Bikeshare nearby.
Nice and diverse neighborhood. Up and coming. Safe and convenient. Lots of options for food and drinks. Close proximity to DC and Tyson's Corner. Lots of new construction.
Lots of stuff nearby, including grocery store, coffee shops, movies, restaurants, fast food, diners. Convenient to walk to some of these places.
The neighborhood is very family friendly. I can walk, bike, or bus easily to the metro/Pentagon City mall or bus/bike to the law school. Walking distance to fair assortment of restaurants, grocery store, pharmacy, etc. on Columbia Pike. Neighborhood is dotted with parks, tennis courts, short bike path, and other recreation.
It is safe and has growing businesses, but sometimes can feel removed from university life and more blue-collar.
Safe and friendly neighborhood. On a busy street, so the neighborhood is mostly behind the complex. Even then, the suburb behind the complex is small before you hit another highway. Very easily accessible by car, not very much by metro. Also, that accessibility comes with the cost that things do not feel very walkable in most directions. Living here almost necessitates having a car.
