Positives: The apartments are new, spacious, and reasonably priced for the area. They are walking distance to all of the restaurants in ohio city and right next to the bike path to edgewater and towpath. There is an awesome rooftap with great views and an in-house gym with all of the basic machines.

Negatives: There is a free parking lot out back, but there are a TON of car break-ins in the area. Every person I know within blocks has had their car broken into at least once. Indoor parking is scarce and expensive (>$100/month). Also, management does not respond promptly to issues, especially on the weekends.

Great amenities, awesome area to live in. Slightly more pricey but worth it for what I currently want. West side is superior to east in terms of things to do, places to go out, being right on the lake in the summer, great restaurants in the Ohio City area as well as Detroit Shoreway/Gordon Square and Tremont as well.

I have had a great experience living in the Mariner's Watch apartments in Ohio City. They are a bit expensive (so best for roommates or couples), but living there is amazing!

You are right in the middle of Hingetown, which is a cool neighborhood in Ohio City. It's a 10 min walk from West 25th street (tons of great bars and restaurants; West Side Market) and Dave's grocery store. Also right by a running/walking path that takes you straight to Edgewater Beach. There's a bus stop right outside on Detroit that you can use to get to the Health Education Campus, and a free outdoor parking lot if you have a car. You can also pay for heated garage parking. It's about a 15 minute drive to the Health Education Campus and 30-40min bus commute.

The apartments themselves are nice - very secure, clean, modern, pet friendly. All have balconies and some have views of Lake Erie. There's a small gym and large common area on the top (4th) floor. There has been the occasional maintenance issue, but in general the management company is friendly and responsive. Definitely recommend!
