Heat is included but not enough. Additional electrical heater is needed when stay at home.

Our apartment has been fine. It's small and definitely an older building, but also fairly inexpensive, definitely one of the cheaper ones that we looked at. The biggest issue is that some of the paint is chipping in the apartment. In Cleveland lead paint in older buildings is always a concern and management has said that older layers of paint probably have lead in them. Not a huge issue if you're not picking off paint chips and inhaling/ingesting them, but probably not the best if you've got pets or kids. Management has been good though, very responsive to maintenance requests and other issues/inquiries. Another plus is that there is a Case shuttle stop right in front of the building, so that is convenient. Storage is on the small side and temperature control can be a bit difficult given that it is done via old school radiators, not a central thermostat.

Good: cheap, washing machine and dryer in building, close to campus and Coventry, lots of space.

Bad:There is no dishwasher, recycling, very limited counter space, the floors are bowing and creaky, the electric fuses blow if 2 appliances are running in the kitchen, maintenance is unresponsive except in emergencies, basically no temperature control (always too hot).

Great value. This location is as close as you can get to Case Med School in this price range. I walk to campus ~25/30 min so don't have to pay for on campus parking either. This is not a new building, definitely has "character" but landlord was good about fixing problems as they came up. This is the place to live if you want a good amount of space and would rather save than have fancy amenities. It's also half a block to coventry, where there are many restaurants, bars and shops.
