Oasis in the city!
I love my studio apartment at Edison Lofts! It’s small, but has enough space for one person and it’s walking distance to everything you could need. There is an attached parking garage that’s safe and convenient. Management has been great; there’s a small team of leading agents and they’re all great, especially Nick. The maintenance team gets to repairs within 24 hours. And you get a resident discount at the coffee shop and gelato shop below! Living downtown, you do get some noise from the surrounding city, but it doesn’t bother me too much. Being that the building is downtown, it’s important to use common sense when it comes to safety. I wouldn’t recommend walking around after dark, but overall I have felt very safe as a woman living alone here. And it’s more expensive to live downtown (and alone) but the trade-off of having an easy walk to school, coffee shops, and restaurants is well worth the extra cost to me. Although I don’t have a pet myself, I get the impression that Edison Lofts is very pet-friendly. I love my cozy studio in the heart of Raleigh and would highly recommend Edison Lofts!

Very good
Great location and amenities. On the cheaper end for rent in downtown Raleigh which is nice.

Edison Lofts Review
Close to campus (10-15 minute walk), decent amenities, stable parking situation, low rent (comparatively)

Great location, but not worth the price
The apartment, amenities, and location are great, but you will end up paying around $300 over your base rent for things like parking, trash, amenity fees, etc. that you can’t opt out of. Staff are also very unprofessional and none of the rules are enforced. It’s mostly young professionals and families living there and everyone keeps to themselves. Definitely not a party friendly kind of place. We did not renew our lease because you can get a lot more for your money just outside of downtown.
