Affordable Living ,Close to School & Downtown

Personally I think this is the best bang for your buck, if you can afford it. I've lived with roommates and alone during law school - both have worked out great! I can get to school in 7 minutes, the grocery store/pharmacy/restaurants in 5 minutes, and ubers are cheap/quick to downtown! I love that Oberlin has a pool and gym.

Location, Location, Location

I love living at Oberlin Court! The location is walkable to Village District and is a quick trip to downtown. This makes running errands, attending class, and hanging out with friends a breeze!

A little bit of everything for a great value!

I've lived several places in Raleigh and this is by far the best I've found. The location is close enough to the law school that there isn't much traffic heading in, but also just outside the immediate downtown area so rent is reasonable for the space you get. My 1 bedroom 1 bath apartment is 950 sq feet and $1475 a month. I do have one of the larger 1 bedrooms they offer, but they have everything from studios to 3 bedrooms available. There is a nice amount of restaurants and shops close enough to walk to, and the area feels very safe for living alone. The walls are a little thin, but I've only ever had an issue with hearing people in the hallway. I do not have any pets, but many of my neighbors do, and there are multiple courtyards easily accessible. There is also reserved parking for residents and plenty of open parking for guests. Maintenance always responds promptly and the managing office is very accommodating. The management office also makes an effort to put on community events each month with provides a break from the law school and an opportunity to meet neighbors. There is a pool and a gym, though both are a little small and can be crowded during popular hours. Overall it is a pretty great place to live!

Getting around Hillsborough

Hillsborough Reviews

11 reviews
This neighborhood is wonderful. There is a small strip with restaurants, a hair salon, yoga studio, and other shops connected to the apartment complex. Cameron Village is just around the corner and an easy drive or walk! There is easy access to all major roads in Raleigh. Downtown and Crabtree are each within 10 mins drive, and North Hills is only 15 mins away! Everyone is very friendly and welcoming and the neighborhood feels very safe at all times. There is also easy access to bussing off Oberlin Road.
Harris Teeter is directly beside the apartment and the district has many great restaurants. There are also great stores for clothing or other items such as books (Barnes and Nobles).
Great place to live with everything you need in walking distance.
I feel pretty safe in this neighbor. I go on a lot of walks and runs in the area. However, I do try to take my dog out before it gets too dark/too late
great walking neighborhood, always safe, easy to access, great location.
Chik fil A close by, restaurants nearby.
A block off Glenwood South is great. Smoky Hollow nextdoor is about to open with more shopping and dining. Only a 12 minute walk up to Campbell, or 15 minutes to get to Fayetville Street and the rest of downtown.
I live right across from St Mary’s and it’s great to be able to walk to school and everywhere downtown Raleigh!
