Great Price, Great Area, Decent Apartment

The parking here is super easy, never an issue finding a spot. It is a 15 minute walk to Kenan-Flagler. Super chill neighborhood, great for running. The apartments aren't super nice but they get the job done and you can't beat the location in my opinion.

Centrally located, low-maintenance landlord

The apartment isn't fancy or new, but it has everything a humble grad students needs (no more, no less). The location is great - walking distance to KFBS and a quick drive to anywhere in town. Buses to Carrboro and Franklin St pick up just a block away. The landlord is extremely responsive and low key. The flooring is all tile, so it's great for people with pets (easy to clean!).

The downsides: it's not convenient to any shopping, and the only nearby restaurant is Merritt's (which is actually the one place I would want within walking distance). Having a low-key landlord sometimes translates into having a bit of a run-down property. For example, the landscaping is pretty bad and there are no rules about parking, which translates to occasional chaos. But everything in the apartment works properly and is in good condition. There's no pool or gym, and you won't find "upgrades" like granite countertops.

It's not fancy, but it I have enjoyed living here.
