I think Berkshire Main Street is a great place to live. It is very close to the medical school and the bus comes right over so I barely have to drive during the week. The facilities are a bit older with early 2000s color scheme but the apartments are very large with wooden floors and carpeted rooms. I really like my experience here! There is not a lot of sunlight that comes into my apartment though.

I love living here! It’s walkable to the main Duke hospital or I can take the bus for free if the weather is bad. The staff are great too.

Apartments and amenities (pool, gym, study areas) are excellent. Maintenance issues within apartments are addressed quickly. Complex is walking distance to campus. Management is, however, slow to respond to issues with common areas (for example, a flooring issue in a common area and broken garage gates have taken months to fix).

I have really enjoyed living here! It takes about 14 minutes to walk to TSCHE, or the bus stop is literally right outside so it couldn’t be more convenient. Also super close to 9th street/harris teeter which is so nice. Lots of people live here which is fun socially, plus proximity to a lot of other popular buildings, easy to walk to see friends.

Great amenities, feels safe, and management is responsive.

Love the common areas. Not a lot of people around so it’s very private. Pick an apartment on the other side of the train and you won’t hear it.

Great apt to live at! Better than the other options in the 9th street area imo!

Clean and simple apartment

Amenities are great and management is very responsive! There are some cockroaches in the outside area but they are rarely a problem indoors.

Apartment itself is great and location could not be better with proximity to campus, bus route to the hospital, grocery store, and Ninth St. Has had some maintenance issues that remain unfixed or took much longer to get fixed than what I would expect at an apartment complex that charges the price they do, but overall would recommend living here.
