The Bartlett
For the most part its been great. Its a good mix of families, older couples, and college students so the apartment complex isn't too loud. There is a lot of construction going on in the area as the new Amazon headquarters is being built across the street. There is a pool, several lounge areas, and a nice gym. Management and the front desk have been easy to get a hold of and are typically very accommodating. The apartment complex is also very convenient as it is located right down the street from the metro and is above a whole foods. The apartments are one of the more affordable nicer options in the area as well.

Great location. Whole foods in same building with private entrance. Close to metro, mall, and Harris Teeter

IN LOVE
This apartment complex is only two years old and I absolutely love it here. It's about a 35 minute commute to campus (door to door). It's located a 5min walk from the metro and is right near a Starbucks, mall, restaurants, Costco, TJMaxx, the works. It also has a Whole Foods and coffee shop IN THE BUILDING. It has a rooftop pool, with a great view of the city, and a huge gym. Additionally, it has a large work bar where you can use desktop computers and print for free.

Great New Building
The building was built within the last year and has a great view of the city/Pentagon. It's a pet friendly building with all the amenities you need. Basically, the view and amenities is what caught my attention. It's also conveniently located near the mall.

Pentagon City Reviews
For the metro, the ride itself is about 20 min. I just budget in extra time for walking and not wanting to arrive just on time. It shouldn't take 45 minutes to get to school unless they're doing maintenance. Then, add 10 minutes.
There is not a lot of green space, unless you count Long Bridge "Park", which is a dead-end, cement "bridge" that looks over soccer and baseball fields with some views of D.C.
Pros:
-Very metro-accessible (blue/yellow, so can get into the city in multiple directions if there are delays)
-Walkable - easy to get to grocery store, Pentagon City mall, library, restaurants, etc. within minutes
-Quiet and safe, and generally well-lit in the evenings
Cons:
-I'd like to see a few more restaurant options. There are good casual dining options, like Naked Pizza, California Pizza Kitchen, and the mall food court, but besides Bonefish Grill there's not much a step up from that.
-I don't feel much sense of community, and don't know my neighbors. Not as diverse-seeming as other parts of DC.
