Wonderful, quiet neighborhood of mostly young professionals and graduate students. Great for walks around the community, and running distance to the Duke Forest. Only about a 8 min drive to Fuqua

Nice Townhome

Thompson Ridge is a townhouse area that is about 5 minutes away from campus. It is quiet and close to everything. It is great for anyone who wants to live in a quiet neighborhood and have more space than a typical apartment.

Thompson Ridge is a great town home community. Affordable and close to Duke with great walkable and a pool and gym! Also has a dog parking and recycling in the community. Most townhouses are two stories with 2-3 bedrooms. Parking in front of townhouses and guest parking. No problems with safety or security.

I really enjoy living at Thompson Ridge! There is a pool, dog park and gym included in the HOA fees that are easily accessible and get the job done. There are a lot of nice trails around the neighborhood and it is generally very safe. Mostly all young professionals, resident physicians and graduate/professional students. Lots of dogs!!! Really close to campus with a bus stop that goes to DUH as well as ninth street.

Great townhouse in an awesome neighborhood. My only complaint is that maintenance is difficult to access, but there haven’t been many maintenance issues so it’s been alright.

Thompson ridge is a bit far from duke but it is great if you want a quiet area and safe area. I rented my unit from duke list and the place is owned by an individual and not a management company.

Love this townhome dearly, sad to leave Durham! I've lived here for 2 years. It's nestled in a beautiful residential neighborhood--good for walking, running, etc.--and it's very safe. There's a bus stop about 200 yards from my door that can take you to Research Drive and Erwin Road. I think it's a great value for the price. Large interior with lots of storage space. Good washer/dryer. Lots of natural light. Only downside is poor temperature control and thin walls. Landlady has been very sweet and responsive. Free parking (and plenty). Gym and pool (both small) access.

The townhouses in Thompson Ridge are great places to rent! The neighborhood is very nice and is less than 10 minutes from Duke's medical school campus. Each townhouse is unique, but mine is beautiful and spacious.

Great location, units are nice, lots of medical students in neighborhood. Easy access to Duke Forest.
