Thompson Ridge

Love living in Thompson ridge. Good community feel. Can be "far" away from the restaurant downtown scene if that is what you're into, but good places to run and easy access to the hospital.

Excellent community, cheap rent, very nice properties. Close to campus. Easy access to Duke Forest.

Great value for lots of space

Very quiet neighborhood with many people in the medical community. It is not that close to a regular Duke bus, but there are Durham buses that pass by. It is close enough to campus where the drive is not long at all, and it is a 2-3 mile bike if you want to do bike instead.

I have loved living at Thompson Ridge. Though it's a bit further from Duke than the more popular apartment complexes, I enjoy having a separation of work-home. It's also a complex with many families - both of medical and non-medical backgrounds - so it's pleasant to be around new people (and lots of pets!). It's very quiet at Thompson Ridge and I have enjoyed my townhome so far.

I enjoy living at Thompson Ridge. It is a quiet neighborhood with lots of young couples and families. It has a small fitness center and a nice pool area. It feels really safe. Apartments are really nice. It is also really close to Duke Medical Center.

This is a great place to live if you can rent or even own one! I wish I would have been here my whole time in med school! There is a bus stop right outside the neighborhood, but it's a place that you would probably want your own transportation as well.

Love Thompson Ridge- the security and comfort of an active community with the privacy of our own townhouse. Spacious, beautiful home, close to everything we need. We love living here.

I love the townhomes and will be continuing my stay here for 2nd year. It’s a 7minute Drive
To the parking garage. Very quiet and safe neighborhood with friendly neighbors. Also beautiful and clean townhomes. Plus affordable rent compared to places closer to campus.
