University Village Apartments reviews and highlights
- well-maintained and spacious apartments
- conveniently located 15 minutes from the airport and from Santa Monica Beach
- best option for families and married couples
- great place with an affordable price
- love the BBQ areas
Great if you have kids
Given we have a 7-year old, this apartment is perfect for us. She has so many friends which is something we couldn't have found anywhere else. The unit is a great value for the price. Not super new, but relatively decent.

Great Value in LA
Great apartment complex at a tremendous value. Living here is quiet and nice. Well maintained courtyards and landscaping. Very family oriented and a great place for small children. Maintenance is responsive and quick. A lot of international students, couples, and families with small children. Unfortunately, it is a very residential neighborhood. There are no restaurants or bars within walking distance. Grocery stores are too far to go there and walk back with groceries. You will have to drive everywhere. There is a bus that stops directly outside that takes you straight to UCLA or the metro, but getting around is difficult and limited to those locations. You do kind of need a car to live here. Some apartments are remodeled and others are not. Still, it's a nice place to live. If you are a couple or a family you should live here; there is no better place for the price in LA.

Regarding the property
It is almost comfortable to live here.
However, when I started living, the room was filthy and there was some equipment missing.

Quite expensive, considering it is not at a walking distance from UCLA, but it is a great deal.
It is a beautiful apartment (although mine had carpet instead of wood floor, which I would have appreciated more). It is close to bus stops (17 BBB is the closest one, but you are at a walking distance from 8BBB, and 6 and Rapid 6 CCB), metro bike and E line metro. Parking spot was small, but suitable. Had some problems that were promptly attended by Maintenance. It's a big complex, so I guess some units are better than others. I was assigned to a 3rd floor facing Sawtelle Blvd. It was good to have a view (good sunsets), but it is warmer especially during the summer. People fight over laundry machines use and trash management, but that is something related to people's behavior rather than the apartment. It was pretty convenient having UCLA housing as my landlord.

Great appartments
I think UV apartments it's a great place to live with family at UCLA. The biggest deal it is UV isn't near the university and the neighborhood is not as cool as Westwood.

Ideal Family Living at University Village Apartments
Living at UCLA University Village has been a wonderful experience for my family. Our two-bedroom, two-bath apartment is spacious and well-maintained, providing the perfect setup for our family of four. The security here is excellent, giving us peace of mind, and the neighbors are friendly and respectful. The swimming pool and proximity to the recreation center make it easy to enjoy quality family time and stay active. Overall, it’s a safe, welcoming, and convenient place to call home. Highly recommend for families!

Great Value in LA
This apartment complex offers some great features like its quiet atmosphere and spacious units, making it a good option, especially for families. Maintenance requests are typically handled promptly, and the rent is very competitive for the size of the apartments. However, some apartments are remodeled and others are not. It is far from UCLA, so it is a 20 minute drive or 45 minute bus ride to campus. The parking garage is quite small, which can be a major hassle. The pool is also on the smaller side, and the clubhouse feels a bit outdated. Unfortunately, there was one break-in, which is a serious concern that management needs to take seriously. Overall, University Village has its pros, I do like living here.
