Excellent place to live and thrive during your graduate education
I would highly recommend Weyburn Terrace for a graduate student who is either seeking to live solely alone or with roommates. It could be a great opportunity for folks to live in a quiet, yet friendly community while completing your graduate studies. It is walking distance to UCLA and is in the heart of Westwood, which also provides walking distance to the Kinross Rec UCLA gym for grad students and faculty. The staff at Weyburn Terrace, particularly the custodial staff are the heart of this community, making everyone feel valued, important and cared for. They are truly integral members in sustaining our community and uplifting one another amidst COVID-19. I hope you will consider applying to live at Weyburn Terrace.

Mostly good except for the ants
The apartment is comfortable and in a convenient location. There has occasionally been an ant problem around the sink in the kitchen.

Cypress on-campus apartments
The apartment is pretty standard for on-campus housing. The furniture is comfortable and clean. The kitchen has enough fridge and cabinet space for two people to comfortably keep food together. The biggest downside is that the windows don't seem fully sealed so the apartment can get cold from air seeping in overnight. There also is very little natural light because of all the other neighboring campus housing

Sycamore
Was great for one person just trying to go to school.

Construction is Loud
I wish the parking had been included, and the construction was terrible. Other than that, Weyburn is not too shabby.

Weyburn Terrace Review
The apartments are in a good location and are reasonably priced considering the area. The overall outside look of the apartments is great, however, the inside needs updating. The appliances and flooring are old and a lot of the included furniture is stained. The door also isn't necessarily bug-proof but if the apartment has been sprayed this usually isn't a huge problem in my experience. Given the drab exterior, it can be difficult for the space to feel like home.

Good student housing
It's nice to be walkable to the law school and the price is good for what you get. Feels a little like a dorm and my unit is on a busy road so it's loud, but Weyburn is hard to beat.

Cheap rent but not great apartment facilities
Small apartment. Tiny kitchen even though two people live in the apartment. Not that clean when first moved in (e.g., dead bugs/bug exoskeletons in entryway). Broken things when first moved in (e.g., kitchen drawer was broken, window blind slats broken). But rent is significantly cheaper than any non-university-owned housing. Bedrooms are very tiny.
